and I somewhat agree. I also think ASU will be an excellent prep game for us going forward into the Louisville game. ASU is a good team and I won't go as far to say that THEY are our first test, but they're pretty darn close.
What say you?

He believes they have a really great shot to contend with us. He does realize that we are better but he is confident in their system.

You're probably right though I'd love to pull another upset over a ranked team. I just don't see it happening in Death Valley this week.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but UL will indeed be our first real test. UL should have beaten AU IMO. If not for that fumble as UL was going to score and causing a possible 14-point turnaround, UL would have won that game. AU is expected to win the SEC, and they should be 0-1 right now. UL is better than I thought. I didn't expect much from their QB play, but he was okay against a pretty darn good D (thanks to them stealing Montravius Adams and Carl Lawson from us).

We will have an elite team when we win all our games. Proof is on the field.do we have awesome players, yes. But no one is elite until they prove it. I think the Tigers can. But let take one win at time. App state is up next and will come ready to play.

EVERY game is a test in one way or another especially when you have not seen much of a team and also every team is different even if only slightly from year to year. The pressure will definitely be on us against App State and they will probably throw a lot of gadget plays against and that is when we had the most trouble against Wofford. Always proceed with caution and don't be OVERCONFIDENT!

The pups were our first test. It answered a lot of questions. Is DW really back, really? Can any of the freshmen live up to the hype? How badly did our defense suffer from the graduation and NFL draft? Can we live without Lakip?
Our first game indicated that our defense wouldn't have a radical drop in production. It completely answered any questions about our new guys.
The only question I had was about TEs blocking for a change. I'm happy with the process though it's not complete and look forward to our coaches installing some two TE sets for them.
Now on for the second chapter of this epic season.

Anytime you don't play well or make turnovers you can lose. But App state is maybe 75-80 in D 1 . We should beat them handily if we are top 15
