If we squeak into the tourney and have a bad showing I think it is past time to let him go. I know some think he simply needs to make the tourney but I think it would be a mistake to have that be the lone criteria. BB really needs to go on a multi year run to he worth what we pay him. He struck out on a good chance last time we made the sweet 16 and followed that up with returning most of the team and having a very disappointing result.

The only reason I think he might survive if he just makes the Big Dance is that I'm not convinced Neff has the gumption to let him go. Neff's mantra with Brad has been to "make progress" which I think is why he survived last year. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Basketball supporters don’t cling to an average regime. Supporters want to win an ACC tourney and a couple of NCAA games every so often. If you regurgitating support in favor of the mediocrity we witness every year than I hope we do not have that many of you so called supporters.

What facts are you regurgitating now. Not disputing the wins but it’s not apples to apples as you want everyone on here to believe. Not sure if you are aware but Brownell is currently the longest tenured coach Clemson has had for bball. So to compare number of wins as you are makes Brownell worse not equal as you illustrated. It’s not rocket science. #### 3 wins in what 13 years? Come on man give the children some credit. We are not as stupid as you think. Brownell has been to 3 tourneys and has 3 wins.
Purnell went 3 tournaments and had 0 wins
Barnes went to 3 tourneys and had 2 wins
Foster went to 1 tourney and had 3 wins
So speaking strictly of ncaa tournaments and wins, it is apples to apples.

You said the coaches had 3 wins. Your next post now has another stat added to it changing your point. The point should be yea he has been here going on 14 years we still have not won the ACC and only has 3 NCAA tourney appearances. Man argue away everyone has their own view, but don’t stress it and call those that do not agree children or whatever else hits your mind. Still knowing and deliberately lying. 1 of Brownell’s wins is a “Fiist Four” victory. That don’t exist for the other coaches. So it’s no fairer to compare that against them than to compare coaches records in the 64 for team era to those before it. But you know this and are just a lying troll. And I’ve already addressed your deliberate avoidance of frequency - which greatly diminishes his accomplishments. This is the “numerators without denominators fallacy” - a favorite of the Brownell Bros.

Give him 2 weeks of practice with these guys and the improvement from CBB would be amazing. The discipline, intensity and energy would just be the start. He would implement an effective O & D to use the available skills rather than the current mess of CBB’s “one size fits all”.

if the original win the conference to go rules apply. It enrages me that Clemson has been so apathetic to fielding reasonable basketball over its history. We expect and strive to excel in all other sports. With hoops it gets a big MEH!!!!!

It’s not just NCAAT achievements that need to be measured. Last season a 4th place conference finish was nice, but should be the expectation this season with this roster and the general decline of ACC basketball strength. Credit Brownell for stepping up the OOC schedule and winning, but now the conference slump has killed all that goodness. It’s going to take a big turnaround to move up the standings and put the Tigers in position to do something in the conference tournament. It’s beyond time to start making some noise in the conference tournament. So for me Neff should consider the whole picture (ie out of conference success, conference regular season, and both tournaments).
