Miami desperately needs their own stadium

I know it’s been talked about and I’m not sure it would help them (I’m sure it would closer to campus) but their crowds are an absolute joke … playing a top 10 team and looks like their is about 10k fans there.

I really don't think it would be much better. Maybe 15,000 instead of 10,000. If they were 10-0 they might would draw 30,000.

They just don't care about FB like the majority of the ACC.

When they played at the original Orange Bowl, they did. Still, an hour drive for a home game is just absurd. Also given the size of FL, and the draw of Miami is smaller, I’m not sure how much they would draw in the modern era of CFB.

The thuggy Miami crime population loved the thugs that won NCAA titles in the 80s and 90s. Miami could go 12-0 and still seat 30k for most home games. If you had a flash mob or gangbangers performing - now there's a sellout!

That just blows my mind , growing up seeing how great they were for so long … I think if it were on campus and smaller maybe like a 50-55k capacity stadium they could have somewhat of a home field advantage. But they have absolutely none at Hard Rock.

Mostly bandwagon fans. If they ever turn it arounf

Man I’m not sure that’s true. Miami traffic is ridiculous and getting out in it is discouraging. We stay in the Brickell some and of course we can walk everywhere like many choose to do. The amount of young people who don’t own a car might shock country folks. The stadium is currently 1 hour from campus with traffic. Most drunk ### students just ain’t got it in them to do all that to watch a sub par team in the hood of Miami. Park the stadium over by the Seminole Casino and the crowd would be insane!

Nah they belong exactly where they are. perfect for that school and the trashy fanbase that follows.

"I love this place, I've got a spot already picked out where I want 'em to put me when I die - up there on that ole hill near the stadium. I want to be there so I can hear all them people cheering my Tigers on Saturdays; then I won't have to go Heaven; I'll already be there."- Frank Howard

Ohhhhhhh……….those of us that endured Miami back in day, will tell you that Miami desperately needs 50 more years of irrelevance.
