Need some input --- those who stream at tailgate

Oct 18, 2022, 1:49 PM

In Lot 1, where over the past couple of years the trees have grown enough to hamper Satellite pickup for TV --- wondering if anyone streams at the game, device and service provider? Thanks for the help.

wasn't great a couple of years ago, now much better. able to play youtube-tv on a 42" smart tv with and it works fine. no buffering, very little pixelation.

For year we used DISH Tailgate package but recently switched

.. to using our phone as a hot spot and connected TV wirelessly to that. The satellite signal became hit or miss lately and we've had ZERO issues with the phone's hotspot setup.

I also have Verizon and the whole #### network basically shuts down about 2 hours to game time. Streaming is impossible, as is texting, email and web browsing.

Good luck if you have Verizon.

I used Verizon hot spot off Shimenalley Road in lower Florence County, SC deer hunting over the past 2 years. Use my phone to stream to a 40" TV. Had no problems watching the Clemson game last Saturday night. Please note this is in the boonies. Go tigers

We had problems in lot 1 streaming the games before La Tech. It worked great in the morning and then was pretty bad/not working at all after 2:30. We tried using a hotspot but that was unsuccessful too. I have had success in other lots though so I'm not sure if it's just a problem in lot 1 due to the amount of people they cram in. Worth a shot though for a 12 pm game.

I mirror my phone to the tv. I use Youtubetv and have AT&T for service. Never have an issue. Be sure to keep phone plugged in as it will use some battery
