Anyone that couples Leggett with Dabo . . .

. . . is delusional. While Dabo has lost to USC, there is no debating that he has elevated the program. He is an up-and-comer who has evolved and learns as he goes. He has separated our program from the rest of the conference (except national champion FSU) and has beaten, in the last few years several teams from the almighty SEC (Auburn, LSU and UGa). He also recruits extremely well, especially outside of the state where there is no pro-USC media. His best days are ahead of him.
Leggett is a different story: in addition to getting embarrassed by our rival every spring, the program is dropped off significantly. When I attended Clemson in the mid-90's, Clemson was the top baseball program in the conference. Now, it's mediocre at best and fizzles out in the post-season. His players don't have that "it" (like USC's) and there is no buzz to recruiting. While I admire some of his team rules (i.e., our guys are clean-cut compared to USC's bearded, necklace-wearing 19-year olds) they, those rules, ain't cutting it. The game has passed him by and he needs to move aside for fresh blood. His best days are behind him.
Tomorrow, for the first time in my life, write a letter to Clemson demanding that a coach be let go.

It is undeniable that a complaint filed by a solitary, misinformed fan will all but seal the fate of JL. I'm begging, hell, pleading with you to rethink this decision.

Yeah but that's baseball.

Let's not kid ourselves yeah baseballs pretty big to some people around here but across the country a lot of people don't really give a #####. Collegiate baseball is much more wide open and even if you win the championship no one except the fans of that school gives a damnn. I know baseball is very important to a good many people but comparing baseball accolades to football accolades is like comparing high school football championships to ncaa national championships, maybe not even that, a lot of highschool football is bigger than any collegiate baseball, so comparing the accomplishments of jack legget or any baseball coach for that matter to dabos accomplishments is preposterous, a division title in football carries more than a national championship in baseball and even most the coots would agree. Not trying to step on any toes, there are die hard baseball fans and it may mean more to them I'm just saying the majority goes for football by a landslide so there's no way you can compare JL and dabo and if you did dabos light years ahead of jack legget.

I have no doubt that JL knows more about baseball than Dabo does football. Its not really close. What Dabo HAS done that Leggett has not is hire top-notch assistants. Dabo has strong people around him. JL has guys around him that have the kids striking out double digit times at the plate and making 15 errors in a 3 game series.

Clemson did not finish well in any of the games this weekend. The Tigers made some ridiculous errors, and took way too many called strikes with their bat on their shoulder. However, I saw a very good team in the orange and white, one capable of going pretty deep in the postseason, with solid pitching and hitting at times. They need to work on defense, but Jack Leggett is a very good coach, and I'm afraid some of you guys will be eating some crow by the first of May.

Jack has done more for us than Dabo. Seriously we are a SEC Football Team playing in the ACC why wouldn't we win. Jack doesn't have the luxury of playing a weak schedule. Jack will right the ship just be patient.

With all due respect. CU is not an SEC caliber team. FSU yes, but CU's lack of D & Oline in no way articulates into them being an SEC caliber team.

You're right about our FB team not being an SEC team. We don't have enough off field issues.

And for the record we've won 3 of the past 5 SEC matchups.

"CU's lack of dline"
Wow. Ask Braxton Miller if we don't have an elite dline. Because they harassed him all night long, as did our stud LB.
And I guess you've never heard of Vic Beastly. And his excellent supporting cast. If you're mad about baseball that's fine but don't say we have no dline. Cause that just isn't right.
