Notre Dame wasn't going for two points to win the game

Oct 26, 2015, 11:59 AM

Just to be clear.

Tired of these hacks saying "Notre Dame was stopped on a two point conversion for the win."

They were trying to TIE the game. Which they could not do. And they lost. Period.

The ESPN homerism for ND is about as bad as it is for all things SEC.

At no point in the game....

Oct 26, 2015, 12:08 PM

did Notre Dame even challenge for the lead let alone for the win.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

This is true. At only one point in the game did they

posses the ball with a chance to take the lead. That would have required going for and converting a two point conversion on their first drive of the game.

Link to where this is being said? I don't think anyone is

minimizing the Clemson win here. However ND is benefiting from our success because they (on paper) played us close.

I would love them to get into the playoff for a rematch because we would stuff them again like we did for all of 3.5 quarters.

I just heard this on Dan Patrick and Russillo and Kannel.

I can tell you I have a ND fan on twitter that thinks ND is better, that they would have won if "it was played again in good weather"..lol

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

it would actually be much worse if we played them again...

it would be ugly

The media hacks NEVER allow mere facts derail their narrative/agenda. That goes against gorilla journalism.

What pisses me off is the narrative is always about "How Notre Dame gift wrapped the game for us with all their mistakes/turnovers AND they played in a monsoon"

Last time I checked, we threw an int in the endzone, and also dropped a sure TD pass ....oh and I believe that Monsoon was also falling on our players as well...

I also heard this several times on ESPN***

Could be read this way ...

Oct 26, 2015, 3:29 PM

"Notre Dame was stopped on a two point conversion for the (Clemson) win."

or

"Notre Dame was stopped on a two point conversion for the win (for Clemson)."

"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton

That IS clever

but still a stretch.

You know you can smell the stench of bias pouring from their mouth-holes.
