I never read anything negative.
He said that the offense didn’t suit his strengths or something like that. I didn’t take they as an affront.

That’s an excuse as throwing a 10 yard bounce pass to an open receiver was not an issue with the scheme.
I don’t really care how he does but would rather him play well than stink it up

He threw our coaching staff under the bus. Same coaching staff that put 2 of the top 10 QB’s in the NFL.
Same coaching staff that made excuse after excuse for his ###### play.

We fired our offensive coordinator. If he does well, just adds some validity to how bad our coaching was. I hope he wins the heisman because I know our coaching sucked. Trevor and DW didn't need a coach to win the ACC.

the crap Offense they handed the kid. DJU's far from perfect, maybe not even really above average.
But to get the Offense and Coaching he got at Clemson - where "Best is the Standard" -
is complete ########. Complete.

What are you talking about? He threw two passes, a screen and a 7-yard slant. He completed both, but both were extremely ugly passes without a hint of a spiral. I am neither rooting for him nor against him. If he does well, great. If he does terribly, great. But to say his passing has been spot on so far is ridiculous. Also, this is San Jose State we're talking about.

Completed, but not on target - receiver had no chance to run.
This happens a lot. In first half, wide open receiver - yet low throw so receiver had to catch on one knee. Again, completed but receiver had no opportunity to run.

For, but I don't think he will ever be really good. Pulling for him though. I don't think he was in the right system at Clemson for him, but he still may be below average in any system. We will see.

His receivers at Notre Dame were Amaru Rodgers and Cornell Powell. Neither have excelled in the NFL.

Once a player leaves Clemson, I wish them no harm. I could honestly care less. On tbe other hand, I think his Dad is a real tool. So for that reason I'm wishing him good health and 10tds/30ints for the season!!

3. Clemson really didn’t have any quality #2 quarterback until Cade got on campus

I'm pulling for him. I've seen nothing to suggest he's anything but a good person. People hating on him for theses 'quotes' is nuts. It's like if a WR went to a option offense and later transferred and said the offense didn't fit his strengths or what he wanted to do, that's not trashing the coaches, it's just a fact.
He's praised everybody at Clemson plenty ("First of all, I think Clemson was a blessing. I thank all of the people there. I had great teammates, great coaches, great people around there."), and also taken blame for his results ("I need to play better"). He did play bad, but the passing scheme was also terrible and a bad fit. Both can be true. Just look at the Notre Dame game last year. Out of 19 passes in the first 3 quarters, 9 were behind the line of scrimmage, 8 were along the right sideline, 1 to the left sideline just beyond the LOS, and 1 whole pass beyond the LOS that wasn't along the sideline.

Great kid. Pulling for him all the way. He took so much abuse at Clemson. I think he did a fantastic job of keeping his mouth shut while he was here. Most people couldn’t/wouldn’t have done that for 2 years with all the criticism.And yes I am aware his play was bad a lot of the time and he didn’t fit our offense. The fact that Dabo got rid of Streeter after the season proved that he was also not a good fit.
