Because Wake had 2 weeks to prepare....well....we have had two weeks to prepare for Miami.....so....

last year but we always seem rusty after a bye.
Kind of like our offenses always seem sluggish coming out of halftime. Especially when they get ball first.

True but frequently it’s been a struggle particularly in 1st half. I do not like games after open date

Not really. Many of our team were out hiking the local trails.
However, I do hope the results are better for us than were for Wake.

He had a really bad day seeing the field against Wake and was inaccurate at times to boot. We need him to return the the progress he was making.
That was the biggest story of the close game.

Wake offense is designed to exploit an attacking defense. We did them the huge favor of attacking them for 60 minutes.
Offensively……once we found something that worked….we made sure to not do that again.

Huh?
Our defense dominated them. They had less than 250 yards and scored 1 TD.
The only reason the game was close was because we couldn't score.
