says Dabo if we get in a pinch. Didn't realize we were that thin at that spot. If Avieon or Shelton get banged up, who knows who we might see out there. I'm sure Wes and Reed will keep things super vanilla if we get to that point. Fortunately, Kentucky is not a heavy pass team.

interesting, to say the least. But, his lack of top end speed would unfortunately also hamper him in the secondary. Those guys have to have a quick "burst" to be able to make up ground on a receiver. If Will had that, he would have many more long touchdown runs than he has.

Plus ,don't how good they are yet, but Redshirt guys can play Bowl Game without effecting RS Status. If as Dabo said ,they have plan A,b,c and are looking for plan D, that's 6-8 guys.

Dabo basically said he isn't really ready to play, but that they might throw him out there. Doesn't sound very promising. Barnes is probably CB3, but after him it's probably a crap shoot. Fortunately, for us Terrell and Lewis were clearly the 2nd and 3rd best corners on the team after Nate (hence why Pride left). I could argue the last 4 games that Avieon might have been even better than Nate. He literally gave up almost nothing in the month of November once he became the full time starter.

Depth is important…I reckon we have enough depth at safety that a couple of them can play some corner.
Corners have to play run defense also…not just pass defense. It will be important to get some 3 & outs, force turnovers and short drives, do what we can to keep those guys fresh.
It would help if the offense would go out there and put up some early scores. It’s be nice if they stepped up and sent a message by controlling this game.

Not built for it. You have to be fluid, quick, and able to quickly adjust. Smaller guys like Myles and Tink will be first off the bench.

Anytime I hear something like "Kentucky is not a pass heavy team..." you can expect a 450 yrd/3 TD passing game coming our way.
On that note, I'll never forget the Music City bowl (the first one against Kentucky) and Kentucky absolutely had the WORST rushing defense in the country and we couldn't do squat against them.
