Peach Bowl announcers really want Boyd out of the game.

I know they said it at least 10 times. "Boyd has been beaten up tonight. Boyd is getting hit on almost every pass play."
Bla, bla, bla, but they said nothing about how many times the hits came late. I understood if a player took two steps after the ball was thrown he was believed to have had time to pull up.
That wasn't the case Monday, they didn't throw one flag for a late hit on Tajh.

LSU was very adept at a guy coming in just late to hit our guy on the ground. Very Auburn like

posted here previously. I took their comments as compliments to TB's toughness.

I'm sensitive about our Tigers. I took it as a disparaging remark about Chad & Dabo calling Boyd's number so many times.

I was more concerned with the hitting and standing over of players more than anything. I miss the days where you would hit someone and get up and get back in the huddle...I lost count of how many times an LSU defender hit a ball handler and then just stood over him, taunting him. Even when it wasn't even a big of hit at all, they would do that sh*t.

The move that drives me crazy that is commonplace in

college football now is the move where instead of the defensive player making the tackle and stepping BACK from the player, the player instead moves real slowly right over the tackled player's head basically teabagging the guy.

I do hope our offensive line improves to a level where they can protect Boyd long enough for our receivers to get separation down field. Same thing happened in SCar game. The difference is, we stuck to the run and went to more short passes to get the ball past the line of scrimmage in the LSU game. If we develop to the point of being able to provide Boyd with sufficient protection, our offense will be Nat'l Championship caliber.

I sort of look at our performance as being shock and awe...

...shock, because most folks gave us little chance to knock-off vaunted LSU...and awe, because the same people were stunned with our efficiency. And when people are both shocked and awed, they react in a rather discumbobulated way: a way in which their tongues are set to wagging and dragging with a lot of blather that signifies nothing. Welcome to the club, announcers!

terrible. There were a couple of PI penalties where he said there was not enough contact and he was dead wrong. My favorite, though, was at the end where he thought we should call a timeout with some time left in case of a bad snap on the FG. WE WOULD HAVE HAD NO TIME OUTS LEFT IF THE HOLDER KNELT ON IT! What a moran.
