Sometimes it feels like some of the posters here develop opinions in the vacuum of their own mind …oblivious of facts..

- Fact - many key Clemson players were recovering from the flu and took iv fluids prior to the game
- Fact - Dabo intentionally went very conservative on offense knowing full well that the only way we lose to the Gamecocks would be catastrophic turnovers…focused on the win and not style points..
- Fact - our starting receivers from the planned depth chart (beginning of the season) didn’t play at all…


This game should forever be known as the “flu” game …much like DW beat the Gamecocks with one good leg…the Tigers beat the Gamecocks while still dealing with the flu - I believe Cade and Shipley (among others) were taking IV fluids the day of the game …

Just some context …sure we’d like more flash and bigger margin of victory …

But the reality is this - the Tigers (with a metaphorical arm tied behind their back) physically whipped the Gamecocks on their home field (especially on defense.)

Good points. Some wins just aren't going to be pretty.

On a different note, this team was 1-3 on the road going into this game. That, with everything else, made this a huge win.

Don’t disagree with anything you said based on last night. But I think when you assess the full body of work of this offense this season, there is certainly room for another perspective. Even with the flu and the week the team had, there were some head scratchers last night that we have seen off and on all season. But credit certainly needs to be given for finding a way to win.
