Pride and Lukus

I was in St. Louis for Thanksgiving and heard several people ask about Toriano Pride.

I've wondered if -- with the emergence of the freshman DBs -- Pride might look to transfer back to a program nearer his home. Mizzou has had a great year and looks to be on the rise.

I think one/both of these guys have been a little banged up.

Anyone with [legit] insight to their situations? I was excited about both of them, but they seem to have underperformed thus far.

And Lukus got pass by Avieon Terrell. Lukus could be a good fit at nickel or safety depending on where Khalil Barnes rotates to full time. Not sure where Pride fits in, so a transfer could be likely.

I don't think Terrell passed Lukus necessarily. Lukus got injured. Those two are the favorites to be our starting corners next season. I don't know why you'd want to move Lukus.

on the depth chart? Yeah right, ask Drew Bledsoe. Avieon Terrell has locked up the CB position that Lukus was playing. Maybe he can compete against Lewis and Pride for the other corner.

Two very good players for two open corner spots next season. Why does either need to get passed?

Pride was forced into duty and played well except for one really bad play and then he was injured and the freshmen showed up and showed out. otherwise I have no clue his mind set.

For Lukus he earned a couple of starts I think and he played very very well except for the one OT TD against FSU. then like Pride got injured and has not been with team since injury. I dont think Dabo has said what the injury is for Lukus (or Pride either for that matter)

My personal take is I don't see either of these guys being intimidated by the good play of the true freshmen. you never know who would transfer, but I don't think it is a playing time issue or fear of competing issue with either of these two.

I get why they would consider transferring. However, with Nate Wiggins and Sheridan Jones gone after this season, there are snaps to be had at corner even with the emergence of Terrell and Shelton Lewis. Hope those guys don't run from the competition.
