My beloved ACC does not deserve the shame caused

by UNC and Miami. If these two schools were given the death penalty, then once again the ACC whom I hold so dear could proudly regain the previously established reputation for academic excellence and athletic sportsmanship. Many thanks to all the other member institutions for doing their part in making the ACC an organization for which all can be proud with heads held high. But UNC and Miami are the blight of college football and the stench is getting to be too much. As a life long Clemson Tiger, I am ashamed and embarrassed to be associated with Miami and UNC in any way, shape, or form. Thanks in advance to all of you who agree with me in this all important matter. Obviously, anyone who disagrees is a fool.

I dont think either will get the death penalty. heck UNC has hardly been punished even

NCAA has been clear about avoiding the Death Penalty again. SMU showed how far it sets a program back. (But I wonder if a death penalty at Southern Cal would slow them down at all. See this year's recruiting plus they are preseason favorites to win it all - coming off sanctions!)
However, I think Miami will get some of the worst sanctions seen since the 80's. If not, then everybody should go to cheating.
And if the new Academic Fraud gets sanctions, you will see UNC get slammed hard.

When I see posters comment on it, it reads as if they think it's permanent. It would be for a year--tops. Hell, they'd probably still get their split of our revenue. They need to start getting punished where it counts--revenue. Sanctions from the NCAA should carry conference revenue distribution re-action. If schools lost 30% of their conference payout to the other member institutions for being on probation, schools would fear the worthless Probation sanction. Seasons where post season bans are imminent should carry 50% or more. That's the only thing that seems to be motivating anyone these days.

I am also embarrassed being in the same conference as an academic fraud institution such as UNC. It cheapens my diploma. Pres. Barker, please lead the fight to have UNC removed from the conference or at least suspended for 5 years.

You either did not attend college and/or don't understand that the ACC schools pride themselves on academics first.

I am in college and I understand that the ACC prides themselves on academics but what does that have to do with anything with you degree if you didn't go to UNC? Are you saying that you could be turned down from a job b/c UNC committed fraud?

UNCheat will never get what they deserve, which a full investigation of ALL athletic programs in regards to the academic fraud.
If this had been Clemson, OL' Swoffie would call for the death penalty.

When the ACC hires a new commish from outside the conference that will not favor Tobacco Road, I will pull for the ACC.
