Yeah, we all thought we’d really missed out. Knowing what we know now would he even make the two deep here or do you think things would have turned out differently ?

Dude was a beast in high school and looked outstanding in camps. No one could block him. Does not appear to be a gamer. Makes one wonder if he had committed to Clemson if things may have turned out different for him.

past 5 years that have all turned out to underachieve and not be as advertised. (i won't name names, ya'll know who they are) I guess its time to be wary of these rivals camp 7 on 7 superstars... Might be good at two hand touch but when the pads go on they disappear.

have turned out to be duds. I think personality has to be considered to their rank as well. NIL probably eliminates alot of their drive as well.

Who knows. He may have been a super star at Clemson or a member of the Portal folks who move on.

Exactly. Look at Tyler Brown who was a late addition to the class but is becoming a big contributor. We never can tell how things are going to go.

the #1 recruit in the nation when he committed to us. #1 overall, not just the #1 DL. But the CA lawsuit around NIL had just happened and USC put together a presentation to flip him with $$$. This was one of the first cases of a player being bought.
In December, USC put together a presentation over Zoom on name, image and likeness to help illustrate the value of its in-house creative lab and the opportunities that would be available to Foreman at USC.
The presentation made an impression on Foreman, who called it “insane.” “It was like I’m the King of Hollywood,” Foreman said. “It’s everything that people talk about wanting to have. I couldn’t be the only one that was drooling when they talked about the numbers.”

The history of 5-star defensive linemen and Clemson should be on the Comedy Channel. Foreman is only the latest chapter in the story. Remember the 5-star DT who committed to Clemson, then his Mama got all mad and told him he had to go to Ole Miss to look after his brother who already played there. He never did much. Remember the Gary kid who told his brother in the limo on the way to his nationally televised Commitment Ceremony that he was going to Clemson, then when they got to the table he picked the wrong hat and went to Michigan. He never did much either. Sometimes it is better NOT to get these overrated, under achievers.

But would he have been a different player if he had been coached by Brent Venables? Wes Goodwin?

I am afraid that he has reached as far as he will go. His work ethic, film study, and self discipline is probably to locked in now to accept change. I would like to see him succeed but he will have to really dig deep!
