Now that will be the biggest cop out I'll see today. If your family was in the U.S., they chose unless you're family is Quaker and I guess that's possible.
Just so you understand and there is no question, I had family on both sides and positively know of at least one that died from his wounds.

I don't know of any family members who were in the country that far back. I can trace some who immigrated somewhere around the 20's. But here's what I can tell you about most of my family members that I've actually known. Almost all of them pretend to be "Christian conservatives", all but a couple that I know of are hardcore MAGAts(ones that sre still alive), and they don't like African Americans. I know exactly how NC thinks cause I was around it quite a bit growing up.

It's regretful you came from such a racist background. My family (white) lived and worked beside African Americans as sharecroppers after the Civil War. Sharecropper was just a politically correct way to say slavery without the ownership papers using debt to enslave instead. The family was able to break out of that over 100 years ago and out of that came a respect for others.
No I'm not completely satisfied with the presidential choices but I'll take Trump over that lying racist trash in the White House now. Do you think because Biden is not capable of remembering, his past racism didn't happen? What's worse Making America Great Again voters or coddling to voters that want to burn America down?
