A pop up storm yesterday around 4:30. Massive hail storm that went straight through town and knocked out power and downed trees as well as breaking and denting car windows and house siding. Some people still without power. Ground was covered in hail some twice the size of golf balls.

The worst storm I have ever seen was in Rock Hill too. My father was in a rehab center for Physical therapy in 2014 and my brand new car was parked outside. Workers in the Center rushed to rooms and closed wooden shutters. Hail was so bad that it actually knocked one of my hubcaps off and broke a side window in the back seat so forcefully that pieces of glass were on the front dashboard and in cupholders. Couldn't count all the dents in the car - had to get new hood and fenders. When I left the center, the middle of the street had about a foot of debris along the center lines.

Did it reach York????Just asking because my dad owns a house on Carson Road off of Hwy 324 there and it is being remodeled.We come up every 2 weeks from Conway to see how it is going but have not been there since a week and a half ago.

I think it started around York and moving towards rock hill. Not sure of any damage in that area.

I live in York and it wasn’t that bad for us. We did get a thunderstorm but no crazy wind or hail

I saw a man’s video showing the hail and aftermath and I was so shocked that happened so close to us. Hope your dad’s house is ok.
