ND and Sam Hartman

3

Aug 24, 2023, 7:57 AM

I can t think of a better team that I wish to flop this season.

I never liked that Wake gimmicky offense. How they recruit OL that can protect their QB that long I have no idea.

It seams to me as long as Sam could stand in the pocket then he could pick you apart. When he was pressured then not so much.

If ND doesn’t do that then his starting days may be numbered.

Go Navy!

I recall when Hartman first got to WF and was not the starter. I was impressed at how well he could move around, he looked even then like a future star to me.
I believe he can play without the gimmick. ND will have more talent to support him than he is used to.
I believe this will be the toughest game for my Tigers to win.

No Doubt. You know he has Clemson circled as the team he wants to finally beat the most.

System QB - going to flop

I disagree

I believe Hartman is legit as a QB. Even is a gimmic offense he threw some darts which fit into tight windows.

Notre Dame plays 3 Top 10 teams, Ohio State, USC and us. Hartman will be a great QB behind the massive line that ND will run out but are their receivers as good as Wake's? If they beat Ohio State, who knows how far they can go? During commercials of the Tour Championship Saturday, I will take a peak and see how good Hartman is during their game with Navy.

I feel I need to attend ND game to make sure..

Yup. That game against Ohio State is going to be very telling. I havent seen much of Hartman. But ND hung tight last year in Columbus. Ohio State will have a new starting qb and will be on the road in a big time environment. I heard ND is going to great lengths to prevent Ohio State fans from getting tickets. According to the Athletic,

"I would describe the approach to a takeover being one more of a damage limitation than solving the problem outright," Sampson wrote this week. "The inability for Ohio State fans to buy tickets directly from Notre Dame or even ticket brokers to really get them could be an important step. Tickets for Ohio State were never made available to the general public, which was a priority."

Sam Hartman is legit.

Hartman is legit

Wake as someone else mentioned had i.m.o far superior talent at WR than did ND(hard to believe; but true).

I still can't understand Hartman leaving unless it's because he loss Perry at WR. And the other outstanding WR. The NFL knows your name; why leave?

A chance at a National Championship? Yeah! Good luck with that ND.

He left (imo) of the gimmick offense WF, going to play for a more pro style offense helps his draft stock.

somebody at wake can really find great high school receivers and bring them along.

Unfortunately they have a gigantic OL and a stable

of huge backs to run us over (My neighbors keep informing me).

I really want to win this game and SC handily. If we win any others it will just be icing.

***my neighbors literally shot fireworks last year after our pathetic showing.

Sounds like strength on strength to me. Thing is: They will be playing the same OL all game long in the South Carolina warmth(to them). Clemson will be able to just roll in dudes who could start and 95% of the schools in CFB back to back to back! Going 100% as hard as they can; because the back up is just as good if they get tired.

I think(hope anyway) this year we can threaten them and all opponents with our offense. Teams call different plays when they feel they have to take chances if you are good on offense.

I feel we will be able to do so. Hope you go ahead and buy your fireworks now; so you can return the favor friend.

I got nothing against Hartman. Dude is from Mt Pleasant, SC and has always been a baller. Crazy thing is he started college in 2018 and is playing his 6th yr as a college student, just don't seem right. I wonder what his NIL is like? I think he is good enough to be a solid 2nd string NFL player. I'm ok with him having a great year except when he plays us of course.

Unfortunately ND always has a good OL so he could excel back there but I don't think they have the receivers WF had.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think Hartman is legit, but...

Aug 24, 2023, 10:34 PM

I have serious doubts about ND being successful this season.

If they fail, Hartman won't be the reason.

Hartman is an excellent QB.... with that huge O line ND has, he will be a problem. The key to us beating them will not be Hartman though.... can we stop their rushing game. Just like last year... if they can run on us, its going to be a long day.

We had some bad breaks, and were right there last year. But in the end, they grinded us down and we could not stop their rushing attack.
