Would all the SEC schools vote on Clemson joining the league? Is it a simple majority vote, 2/3 , what?

this whole B1G argument is just rumor, B1G / Rose Bowl / it's all the same money
Clemsons origins academically and athletically and geographically closely resemble SEC

Agreed. When Clemson leaves the ACC, even if it’s not until 2036…. We will be in the SEC.
Especially if the B1G gets Oregon and Washington. Once that announcement is made, the next big one will be Clemson and FSU to the SEC.

There is a reason Clemson added gymnastics and softball.

Exactly if Oklahoma and Texas got in with Texas A&M already being in I feel that would not be an obstacle.

And he will echo ESPN. PROVIDED ESPN increases the $. No school will vote to take a cut in pay. ESPN should increase the $, but they weren’t willing ( or able??) to pay for a ninth conference game.

I also do like the B1G money and the fact that they are not tied into ESPN.

If the desire of the SEC is to add a school that will increase their TV market share, why would we be picked instead of Carolina or UVA? Keep in mind money talks and we are less than 100 miles from Athens and just over 100 from Columbia so that does not move the market share needle. Business is about money and a Power 5 conference is a huge business.

More people watch Clemson football than UVA or UNC games. Those potential viewers are busy dining on wine & cheese.

It’s about eyeballs on the tv, not market footprint. No one

You do not understand how TV has shifted away from TV markets to now total viewership per school. Clemson and FSU are considered tier one media properties meaning that average over 4 million tv eyeballs per game. No other ACC school comes close to this. Clemson and FSU are the big prize that the B1G is eyeing but we must first leave the ACC. The sec is tied to the ESPN test which is having financial struggles due to continued cable subscriber losses. The B1G will crush the SEC financially over the longer term and are the safer play.

I am an Arkansas Razorback fan (I have family that are Clemson fans, which is why I am on the board) So, that makes me an SEC fan, and I would definitely vote for Clemson to come into the SEC tomorrow. I think it would strengthen the conference big time. In my opinion, Clemson is way too good of a program to get left behind in the ACC. Clemson needs to be in the SEC. Even though I would not want to face Clemson every year or even every other year, I would still love to have Clemson in the SEC.
