Seeking a moral loss

Oct 16, 2022, 9:46 AM

Some here seem to be seeking a moral loss. Like a moral victory in some respects, a moral loss is where you actually win the game but not in a satisfying enough manner for fans to feel good about themselves. In this situation fans discard all of the positive aspects of the game including the actual score of the game and only focus on the negative aspects both real and imagined.

The root of a moral loss is a fanbase who has becomes privileged due to a lot of success to the point that a hard fought win is a close game offers little satisfaction. These fans have forgotten where they came from and how difficult it is to consistently win especially on the road.

Some here want to keep making posts that bring up a point that disagree with, when continuing to make said posts is what keeps the point they disagree with going in the first place.

What an agenda!

Criticism to you probably equals never giving the Tigers credit. Tried to go back an see a positive post from you but didn't see anything from the last several games. Perhaps if I looked more closely I might have found one. Say some positive stuff sometimes and your agenda might be believable. Keep pulling for those Tigers!

The concept of the moral loss is intriguing to say the least. ?

Herbstreit said it best after the game. Called it a win win for the coaching staff. Said you pick up the W and still have some teachable material. Not word for word but the gist of it.

What I like most about this team is I don’t think we’ve come close to peaking and have a very high ceiling. A lot of those defensive players we got back are not in football shape yet but they will be. Watch the transformation over the next 3 weeks. Furthermore when has a Swinney coached team not been better come November?

Last night was far from perfect but our best football is still in front of us.
