First half observations

I wrote in the prediction I thought the offense would start fast. Boy, was I wrong. Really, really wrong.
This offense looks eerily familiar, right? Stuff to the side, middle not in play, screens on third-and-long, too much sideways stuff and not enough down the field. Also, thought the OL was going to be a lot better and there is just not a big push. They've also rotated some guys in and out, due to the heat I guess, but it has never looked clean.
Defense has looked ok. Too many chunk plays on third down. Need to do a better job on first and second down of getting the offense in third and long. Special teams - nice play on the muffed punt, not sure what happened on the field goal. I thought Wes did a better job of dialing up pressure in the second quarter. But Trotter has looked slow on a few plays, and Carter has gotten caught up in the wash a few times. Been impressed with Parker and Woods. Parker needs more playing time.
But that offense.....yikes. A former player texted me and said, "go take the playsheet from Dabo."
Hopefully, it looks better in the second half.

I’m beginning to agree with the conspiracy that Dabo is too involved (and has been for awhile). And, if so, did Streeter even get a fair shake with someone else actually holding the keys? Concerning first half to watch…

So your saying we spent the first half luring them into a false sense of security before we open up the playbook in the second half.
Genius, really genius!

I think 44 was too inside and couldn't get outside to block in time. Why he was blocking inside? I don't know.

I am the world’s biggest fan of Dabo but why is he play calling? This offense is horrible. Dabo has to see that.

We will know if Dabo is calling plays because Riley isn't going to kill his chances at a hc job by falling on the sword for dabo

I doubt you actually would, but ask Dabo post-game who's calling the plays.

Eesh, former players texting about anemic offense. I guess TNET does have football knowledge as I think we all agree that was ugly by any standard.

It appears that Cade can’t throw a downfield pass.
Also appears that the Left Tackle can’t block.

As I mentioned before we are missing that Bowlware/Skalskie Lb. Generals on the field that are smart and tough. They know what’s coming more than anything. I love the talent of our LB but they do tend to looks slow and to me it’s because they are thinking.

Dabo’s stubborn refusal to use the transfer portal is sending the program down the toilet.

Anyone can criticize anyone they want and still be a friend. People who are afraid to criticize Dabo are the reason the program slipped in the first place you f'ing moron.

I wasn't surprised. The OL is playing just like they have the past four years. Our guards are just for decoration. Do the coaches make them push the sled?

There is no excuse for the team to look this sluggish. FSU played a good team last night and was sharp as a tack. That first half performance is squarely on Dabo. I am curious to see what adjustments have been made for the 2nd half.
