Immaterial stat and a ridiculous idea. I have no doubt the FAU, SDSU and Creighton coaches make less because of the lower level leagues they play in. My guess is the others are close and who knows about Texas because their coach is an interim. By the way, if this bothers you, much of the salary any coach makes comes from outside sources.

No, the others aren't close. Mark Few, one of the absolute best coaches in the country, makes a million less. We've been told for years by his advocates that Brad can't win because we don't support the program enough. Judge Keller is actively typing this on other Clemson forums right now. But it is a lie. And if you took the absolute minimum $1 million a year we're overspending on a terrible head coach then we could invest it in assistants, recruiting, and whatever else they pretend we don't spend it on. Larranaga is the only coach within half a million of Brownell's salary. It's financial negligence at this point.
