I think the Clinton campaign thought there was a good chance it was true. Why would they risk so much if they knew it was a lie?

This is a big deal. I don't disagree with your logic about why would they do it, but they did do it.
When you read the Dossier ask yourself a few questions like:
If this is true why did no one previously investigate it? Such as the Obama administration. Any news outlets? It claims Trump
If this is true, why is there ZERO tangible evidence. No emails, no texts, no phone call records, no photos, no video, no audio, nada!
If this is true, why is the Biden Admin and democratic machine not following up on these claims that would certainly put Trump out of consideration for 2024?
For example "Russian regime has been cultivating, supporting and assisting TRUMP for at least 5 years. Aim, endorsed by PUTIN, has been to encourage splits and divisions in western alliance"
Really? 5 years goes back to 2011 when this was issued. Since 2011 Russia was cultivating Trump, but no one knew? And now that we do know, we can find ZERO hard evidence? ZERO? With the demonstrated hate by so many people in power in the Federal Government for Trump, no one can dig up tangible evidence against him? Or release existing evidence?
There are lots of examples like that that cannot pass a sanity check.

You can't prove a negative... Trump was the last person the Russians wanted in the WH - they were counting on the same old globalist uni-party Foreign Policy class experts that defined the Bush/Clinton/Obama years. Putin has been running circles around these clowns for years. Putin knew the deal with the Clinton's ($$ for US uranium mining), Obama (thanks for that chunk of the Ukraine you wimp) and now Biden (Nord Stream 2 pipeline is back on baby!)

To me, he is making leaps of faith, filling in the deep chasms in his narrative with “you’re dumb if you don’t believe this.”
So a Russian spy was not known to anyone at the time but DEFINITELY known to the guy that hired him, and he therefore was able to access…polling data. Clear collusion, in Quoz’s opinion. I just can’t see how one can make hay out of that but a coordinated misinformation campaign involving deceiving the FBI, with a paper trail that involves numerous high level people in the Clinton campaign and that tied up resources for two years…no biggie.

Trump wasn't even being subtle. You can tell where it hurts with him because that's where he screams. And he screamed a lot.
The obvious link is through his money. He went bankrupt four different times in the '90's...and then was propped up, by mass infusions of cash from some unknown source. When his taxes were finally revealed it became obvious the dude owes almost a billion dollars...almost certainly to the Russians, since it was Russian bankers bankrolling him through private-side loans from Deutsche Bank after he'd already defaulted on more than $45 million in loans from Deutsche Bank's public side. (That's kind of amazing, I'd love to rip somebody for $45 million and then have them turn around and give me another $400+ million, as Deutsche Bank did.) His Russian bankers left Deutsche Bank right before Trump himself left office. Gosh, I wonder why. If Biden owed anybody a billion dollars in personally guaranteed loans you guys would be frothing at the mouth...and guess what, rightly so. Anybody who owes unknown foreign sources like that is irredeemable personally compromised.
Again, this is 101-level stuff. You're choosing not to see it.
This is why nobody even bothers trying to talk to MAGA heads who live on Fox News anymore. There's just no talking to you guys. I'm sorry to say it's been depressing watching you drink the Kool-Aid, Swarley.

Trump in jail? Maybe, but not for long. Guys at his level do eighteen months in country clubs, tops.
I'd expect him to get hit about like Silvio Berlusconi in Italy did...and once he's gotten that one felony ding he's still going to be a big public figure but his viability as an actual candidate will be gone...as will the savage need from the left to bring him down. (Once he's no longer a candidate, they'll be fine letting him linger because the biggest disruption he'll cause will be to his own side.) The two are very similar personality types and leaders - and like Trump, Berlosconi was compromised and indebted to Vladimir Putin - and I'd expect about the same result. Trump's run afoul of enough stuff that's going to trip him that it's going to cripple him politically and probably take a huge chunk out of his fortune but unless he kicks earlier than Berlusconi did - and guys like him never do! - I'd also expect him to linger, play powerbroker, and in general hang over things with a not-insignificant following much as Berlusconi has.

Prosecutors are creatures of expedience. Look no further than the freaking Murdaughs in South Carolina if you want proof of that. You swing and miss in a high-profile case, your career is done.
There's a lot of will to take Trump down and Oh My is he ever a big career-maker scalp for the person who can get it right now, but once he's gotten that felony ding and is no longer an active threat to run for president again, I think a lot of the criminal legal heat will die down around him.
Again, precisely because of expedience, though I suspect busting him up financially is going to happen pretty much non-stop the rest of his life, one way or another. When is the guy not in financial hot water and getting sued for it?

The hotel was known to be under FSB control with microphones and concealed cameras in all the main rooms to record anything they wanted to.

I call it willful naivety and partisan hackery. Trump himself may not have fully conspired to sway an election with Russia, but his campaign and his team were dangerously close to Putin and his goons. Claiming they weren't is just contributing to blind partisan politics.
