Also SCAR coach "may well win National Coach of the Year this season".

Sean Miller, Xavier Musketeers
Greg McDermott, Creighton Bluejays

Lamont Paris, South Carolina Gamecocks

Paris may well win National Coach of the Year this season after executing a remarkable turnaround at South Carolina, flipping the Gamecocks from SEC bottom-feeders in his first season to legitimate contenders this season. He’s also an Ohio native with Big Ten roots from his time as an assistant coach under Bo Ryan with the Wisconsin Badgers. It might be a bit early on this one for both parties: Ohio State may want a longer track record of success, and Paris may want to see through building this South Carolina program. But this season’s success makes him an intriguing name to consider, if nothing else.

Dusty May, Florida Atlantic Owls
Niko Medved, Colorado State Rams
Porter Moser, Oklahoma Sooners
Pat Kelsey, Charleston Cougars
Josh Schertz, Indiana State Sycamores

Looks like Clemson can breathe easy knowing that Brad Brownell is not on that list, despite all his success at Clemson.

this one will be interesting. They are getting a new AD next month but the old one doesn't leave immediately as I recall. Paris' game being blown out by Auburn couldnt help his chances much

One game blow out in college basketball is not going to hurt a candidate's chances...

Auburn good to that to a lot of good teams at home...

I am certainly glad to head Coach Brownell is not on the list because we do not to lose him. Moving from South Carolina to Ohio State would be a step up so Paris might be choice but my guess is Miller.

SCar record:

vs teams with winning record:
10 wins
4 losses

vs teams with losing record or .500:
11 wins
0 losses

vs teams project in the NCAAT (excluding AQs):
2-3

I'm predicting a first-round exist for the Shamecoots. They are beating up on bad teams...they do have two really good wins mixed in there with Kentucky and Tennessee, admittedly. But Auburn and Alabama both obliterated SCar.
