Well, it was nice while it lasted but with 2 straight losses giving up 20 runs in the last two games you can kiss that #2 ranking goodbye. If they don’t find some pitching somewhere especially in the bullpen it could get ugly real quick in the 2nd half of the season.

It was never real.... don't have the pitching or consistent hitting.

What?! Have you watched any games besides tonight ? It’s called baseball , baseball is an up and down game , and right now unfortunately our bull pen and fri night starters aren’t getting it done … but this team has consistently hit as well as anyone in the country and we have our number one guy out right now… and Barlow has pitched decent it’s all about setting up and figuring a rotation out by the end of the year … we have lost 4 freakin games chill out my lord.

agree. You can't argue that the pitching has digressed here lately. Fielding has been just above average and hitting has been fine. Pitching, however, has been blown up lately. Not a good trend.

I’ve seen exceptional growth in the pitching we have. Under Monte we rarely had guys in the lower mid 90’s consistently with stuff.
We have a fluid situation currently with our staff due to Smith being sidelined, and Hughes struggling in the closer role. You have to understand that stretches an entire pitching staff.
We get Smith back we are not only an Omaha threat but a championship contender.
How many acc series have we won in a row now? Sheesh…we ain’t Florida!

1) You aren't watching the games.
2) If we win the series we aren't going anywhere. We have twice the Q1 wins of every team not named Kentucky.
3) RPI matters more than any ranking by sports writers
4) RPI is used to seed teams not polls.
5) Polls don't matter.

It's just one game in the series. It's Baseball and games like this happen. Now there is real concern about the pitching.
Rankings are just an opinion. What matters is how far you advance in the post season.

The season's over. All is lost, let's expect the worst and assume that the real Clemson Baseball finally showed up over the last two games.
Thank goodness our coaches and players don't have this mindset or we'd never have won a single game.
