out of the CFP ... I think its obvious at this point.
Not sure why ... maybe its the "if Bama can't be in it, we got to keep Clemson out" deal ...
Whatevs ...
The question is, what Bowl and who is the opponent ? Is there a requirement that its Orange Bowl vs SEC ?

deal was just a by product of the "Get two SEC teams IN" hype train. And when it became evident that the 2nd SEC team already had two losses (LSU), the hype train went into supersonic ground mode.
You ain't SEEN hype yet. If LSU somehow gets Georgia to toe the conference line and sacrifice themselves in the SEC Championship Game, the news will be LSU 24/7, times however many news outlets there are in SEC Land. It will be truly unbearable.

Knowing the scum and villainy of the SEC, it wouldn’t surprise if the fix is in for UGA to lose, even including Kirby Smart and Brian Kelly. They only care about money- with Clemson, a 1 loss B1G game loser would take 3 & 4 if TCU and USC both lose, but if LSU wins, it’s UGA, LSU, B1G winner, and TCU, USC, or Clemson for the 4th.

So did LSU, but they also got beat by a common opponent Clemson beat on the road for a 2nd loss. They’re being hyped on ESPiN right now with a video from Heather Dinwitch and Pol Finebaum

assuming no playoffs then win the ACC and it is the orange, lose the ACC and I believe it is the Cheez it.

viewers for the NC game. Clemson is as hated as Bama across the country. People will watch a Clemson playoff game in hopes of seeing Clemson destroyed. We draw viewers as much as anyone not named ND.
Imo, ND, Bama and Clemson are going to draw more viewers than any of the rest because everyone has a strong emotion toward we three. Love or hate, it doesn't matter, one motivated viewership as much as the other.
ESPiN has longed to control the playoff like it did the BCS. It's not going to happen but ESPiN influence is felt throughout the season, enough so that the SEC is placing two teams in the PO regularly.
