I am thankful he didn't go to Clemson . He is a corporate shill and a fake personality....nothing to be proud of
Maybe before he starts asking struggling Americans for money to fix Hawaii, him and Oprah can dig in their billions and find some change to spare ....buncha hypocritical clowns

He and Oprah each donated $5million to the Maui fund…how much do they have to give to not be “hypocritical clowns”?

Whats a million to a billionaire? They both could have EASILY donated enough to rebuild every city and town so why ask struggling Americans living through a terrible economy?
And if they weren't wrong they wouldn't have come out and apologized for what they did

What's a million to a billionaire? You could ask Oprah, but the Rock isn't a billionaire.
Why so much hate for people trying to raise money for other people who lost everything? Dabo's constantly trying to raise money for cancer research...is he a hypocrite for not giving more himself?
So, the question remains, how much should they have donated to not be considered hypocrites? $10million? $50million? Maybe a percentage? The Rock could donate 10% of his net worth? Would that be enough?
IMO, talking #### about people trying to help others makes you look like a giant #########. HTH

They apologized because douchebags like you were hammering them with "why don't you just pay for it all yourself" BS. They did nothing wrong except try to help. It was amazing to see, really.
Why bother trying to do something good for people when, no matter what you do, you just get hate for it? #### your neighbor...isn't that how the saying goes these days?
I bet I can guess how much you give to charitable organizations every year.

So they are gutless cowards? Those are the only ones who fold under pressure and say they are sorry when they are not ....look guy, you can have your celebrity heroes and that's okay, but these two (along with 90% of the others) are NOT good people

Also, if the rock as you say, only apologized bc of public pressure, then he is exactly what I described in my original post when is NOT GENUINE and a corporate shill that only cares about his fake image ....there's your idol big guy

My last post on this…
I don’t care one way or another about any celebrities. They are just people. Of course, they live in the public eye so they have to do stupid #### like apologize when they aren’t wrong. I don’t depend on public opinion for my livelihood so I would not apologize personally.
I just think it’s odd that people like you go out of your way to hate on others that are simply trying to help.
I’m reminded of the telethon for victims of Katrina. All these celebrities urging people to donate to help those who lost everything. Were they all hypocrites for doing that? How about Jerry’s Kids? You’re old enough to remember that, right? Was Jerry Lewis a hero or hypocrite?
I’m still wondering, though, how much they should have donated to not be considered “hypocritical clowns”? That was basically my whole reason for commenting in the first place.

More than 5 million ..to the average American 50 dollars hits the bank account harder than 5 million does to someone with 250,000,000$ to a billion

Hate to admit this but it was Clemson or College of Charleston for me. I was all in on Clemson until my guidance counselor brought up the 9 to 1 girl to boy ratio at CofC. Couldn’t think rationally after that. Lol.
