SOS pretty good in rivalry games at UF and USuC

Nov 26, 2014, 7:52 AM

He is 27-17 in rivalry games with FSU and UGA when he coached with Florida and UGA and Clemson as coach at USuC. He is a Dawg killer having beaten UGA constantly throughout his career. He seems to know how to focus in on rivalry games. At Florida it took him a while to compete with FSU and start to win games. The same against UGA and Clemson at USuC.

We all know this is going to be another game he has the Cooters focused in to beat us. Knowing that we have to avoid turnovers and play smart all afternoon long. I would love a blow out win but I see a close, close game going into the 4th quarter. For us, it then comes down to the EYE OF THE TIGER. How much do we want it?

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That bad?

you'd think that the fun n gun would at least put up points against someone that gave up scores so easily.

I think its gonna be a 2 touchdown win . I think our defense proves itself , I think we win the turnover tilt and I think Dabo finally gets #2 against the Drunkard.

We definitely gave them the game last year.

Maybe we "helped them win" two of the others.

We seemed even in two of the games, totally inferior in two of the games and clearly better than them last year.

And this will be his last Rivalry game ever***

probably why this is

Nov 26, 2014, 9:35 AM

the case is because players get themselves motivated for rivalry games. Spurrier might have his own way of motivating his players and I guess his record speaks for itself but based on what Ive observed and what he and his players have all said about his coaching tactics I just don't get the idea that this is a strength of the OBS.

The team with the most poise (assuming both teams are evenly matched) usually sustains their emotion for four quarters and doesn't beat themselves trying to play outside of what they are good at, just because its a rivalry game. If we play poised for four quarters on Saturday I have no doubt we win, regardless of who's playing qb.
