Insight in FSU Recruiting

Comments from these recruits is very telling. Norvell is turning FSU around. Overall this will be good for the ACC but we will need to raise our game to stay at the top of the conference.

Sounds like every kid at every school.

Relationships.

Read the comments from Clemson recruits. They will rave about the coaches. Same with Bama, UGA, even SC.

If a coach can't make a good first impression on a kid, he has no chance. But, that isn't enough. He has to bujild a relationship with the kid. That's why coaches need staffs dedicated to nothing but recruiting. The staffs keep in touch with the players and then realy information to the coaches.

I'll bet every coach at Clemson, and every other major school, has a stack of notes on his desk every morning with things like, "Talked to Ricky Recruit. Here are his questions. You need to call him today." Coach knows what the issue is, coach calls recruit, coach talks to recruit and includes the issues recruit told the staffer. Coach builds relationship with recruit.

It takes a village.

I see nothing to be worried about...we are still recruiting better than them although they've done well in the portal to fill needs, but that won't cut it long term to be a National Championship contender.

At some point, FSU was going to become a contender again. Too much going for them. Bring it on. Honestly the ACC needs more contenders. The 2016 season was great in that Clemson, FSU, and Louisville were all outstanding. No one could claim "they ain't played nobody Pawwwl" that year.

Based on our 3 losses last year, we absolutely need to worry that FSU is catching up. This season is huge for us, make or break almost and our coaches and players will not be taking anything for granted. Fans need to follow that lead.
