to Put in perspective only 78% of NFL players have active endorsement deals with less then 2% of College Players making it to the NFL.
Simple math tells me about 95% of college players over value themselves.

But he’s right if a school is willing to pay a guy more than another guy it means they think he’s a better prospect. If you found out someone at your job, who had the same role as you, was being paid significantly more you’d probably think your company values their contributions more than yours.

From my experiences it is best to keep what you are being paid to yourself unless you want your feelings hurt.

Adults created CF: Here is where $ falls short re: respect

Money may indeed be one standard (for ‘true adults’ and young adults, teenagers, and children), but only fools view short term monetary compensation as THE standard of self-value.
The ‘high class’ ho ooker makes a lot more money than the fresh-out-of-college engineer or nurse. Which among the flesh peddler vs skilled professional makes more money and has a happier, more stable life over the long run?
Exotic dancer vs young accountant or young pharmaceutical sales rep?
You get the point.
For college FB players at schools where big NIL payments ‘prove’ that NIL University ‘respects’ the player more than at Teach Them Something University, the dopey young kid and his dopey parents will choose the bigger NIL payout school every time.
Not all HS FB prospects are dopey, or come from dopey families. It is the smart, longer horizon type FB prospect that the ‘culture first’ schools must attract for the ‘Teach Them Something University’ type schools will have to depend upon more than ever.

Life is going to teach these kids all about finances and consequences of decisions, quickly.
They think they are big stuff. The $$$ is there. But what they don't realize.
The $$ will always be there for the next shiniest marketing tool.
It's called peaking too early.

And just think this all started because we thought the kids should be compensated for their image.
That I can understand… like anything with money it normally spirals out of control. I believe it will soon be better to just watch the NFL. I know they are talented seeing they were drafted and there is also a cap. So unless you have a miss or your GM is inept you should be competitive.
I only see SEC and B1G dominating college football in the near future. They have the NIL funds and the tv money. How many ACC teams could offer a player millions to come play for them?

You want me, you pay me.
You pay me more, you want me more, you respect me more.
But many forget that Mo Money Mo Problems

I can’t be critical of players for viewing things this way. It’s the way things are at the moments. At the moment.

Ironically it seems to be the capitalist right leaning crowd that is against NIL.

Haven't made a play or shown you have what is takes at college level, and yet you want respect. Hope they never have to a get a REAL job. Won't last two minutes. You have to prove your worth to command respect and MONEY!

Tough times create hard men. Hard men create good times. Good times create soft men. Soft men create tough times. We are at the soft men part of the generational cycle.
