regionals. If you haven't made it to McWhorter do yourself a favor and go! There really are no bad seats in the stadium. It's a lot of fun and our ladies put it all on the line every game. They don't show some things on TV, like Clark giving a fist bump to the little girls next to the dugout every time she comes out to hit.

This weekend, the Clemson crowd was loud and the visiting fans for Auburn, UNCG, and CSF represented their respective schools well. Friday night after the 17-2 win we were able to bounce over to DKS to watch the fluke base hit pop-ups by UNC and then the eventual walk-off. Saturday was another good day, overcast so not too hot. We watched a lot of softball Saturday and it was clear that Clemson and Auburn were definitely the top 2 teams. Millie was at the Auburn vs CSF elimination game sitting near us. A lot of people came up to her for pictures, she was gracious and thanked each fan. Yesterday was HOT...we ended up watching a couple of innings of the second game out of the heat under the covered portion of the stadium. I think a number of other fans did as well, so it may have looked like a number of people left the stadium. We eventually went back to our seats.

Additional observations:

Auburn looked tired after the first game, there was a very subdued celebration. As they came back in the dugout I told my daughter they looked like a team with not much left in the tank.

Penta had to be about to drop since they rode her like a horse the whole tournament.

The catcher for Auburn had a "tick" throwing back to the pitcher...it was almost like a stutter. Some of our fans were giving her a hard time...not sure if they showed it on TV.

Maddie Moore is one of the best 2nd basemen in the nation!

Sorry no PBP...maybe for Oklahoma!

I was at the first game on Sunday and it was actually my first softball game and visit to the McWhorter Stadium. My wife and I were very impressed with the atmosphere and a lot of the fan traditions at the game. Clemson had a program to be be proud of for sure.
