We had 31 in the first quarter .... before we called off the dogs.We could easily have run 100 plays and gained 700+ yards total offense. Dabo is a class act, Spurrier is an ### act! C L emson.

Good point. AND we had 2nd & 3rds in while Spurrier was still running "trick plays" vs ECU. App State passed for 300 on them as well.

Yep, and the entire coot Nation hated Surrier's guts when he was at Fla. Now he is their god and savior. When Fla. and Tenn. get back to where they use to be. I hope I'm living to see the Re-start of another hundred years of the coots suffering. And hopefully it will be much worse than their last hundred.

The argument that South Carolina "played their starters
Sep 11, 2012, 2:48 PM
|
|
the whole game" is a weak.
USC's starting QB never took a snap. USC's starting runningback carried the ball 13 times... the same number as (guess who) Andre Ellington. USC's 2nd straing QB threw fewer passes than Clemson's first and second QBs combined. The backup RB only carried it 5 times. That said, USC ran the ball about 34 times with 8 different people.
USC's QB had attempted a grand total of 5 passes prior to Saturday (2 of them dating back to 2011). Given that few on this board thinks Shaw will make it through the whole season, I think it's hard to question giving Thompson as many snaps as possible.
If you think the lines played the whole game, go check the participation report.
It's a myth.
