Come on- does it have to be spelled out? No one is going to say it. They aren’t leaving out TX who beat Bama - the team they worked so hard to justify getting in.

They can’t/won’t leave out the SEC. They have to take Texas to justify having Bama.

This is exactly right. Think about it. If Georgia had beaten Bama, would the committee have snubbed FSU in favor of Texas? Of course not!
