That may have been the easiest softball game of the year

They were sloppy, handed us based. Stealing each time was a piece of cake. Batters seemed very comfortable and after the first hit the batters didn’t challenge at all.
Definitely the look of a team that knew they were about to be blown out and knew they couldn’t do anything about it.

Definitely up there. The 18-0 perfect game by Cagle against Mercer is still #1***

Just got back from the game. I was surprised to learn their starter was 5-0 coming on to the game. Their team did not have the look of a disciplined team and we made them pay. Great game!

I guess he threw pretty fast but seemed to have one speed. We did do most of our damage against the relievers

She's not a starter. It's her 17th appearance, but only her 3rd start***

That first pitcher could smoke the BBC ball even when she did keep her foot down. Really she only had speed to the edges and a little bit of a drop ball. But she definitely maintained more speed than any other pitcher we have played this year in games that I watched.
The UofCootS pitcher was constantly over 73 and often hit 75mph. I think I saw 76 one time but can't promise but I know she hit 75mph many, many times. Like 74-75 was her normal speed unless she threw a bad off-speed or a drop-ball. If she got better control of foot drag and little better command of pitch, which she just started pitching in JC ans was a SS, that girl could be deadly Her speed was the highest consistently I have seen. But then 2 other pitchers came in the game and they both pitched in the low 70's no problem. The second pitcher hit 72-73 no problem. The third pitcher waa abot 1mph slower but constantly pitched 71-72 with a 73 a few times.
Take Cagle on consideration she really varies jer pitch speed. I saw her hit fastball at 72 often and saw her hit 73mph once. But her fastball hung in that 71-72 every time. But she works a drop ball that looks fast but drops over the plate at 68. But one of her her best pitching is her off-speed when she drops from 68 to a 54 then the hitter thinks that is slow and she drops it to 46-51 slowing it again.
Cagle's command of pitching is great. But her infield defense is every bit ad good. Look at her line drives she catches , or a bounce that she catches and turns for a double or easy out at first.
I guarantee I would put her up against any player in the NCAA if they had to play all facets of the game. I might not put her against best pitcher but I would let her challenge at any multiple positions competition. If they wanted to challenge batting, pitching, base stealing, 1st base and midfield, then Cagle only has to do 2 of them to win.

Very nice summary which I appreciate! We were sitting behind 1st base so the location was hard to determine. Did the broadcast give the speed of each pitch? Wish they would provide that at the game
