That reverse flea-flicker TD pass was a thing of beauty!

Why aren’t we seeing more PRAISE for Streeter on THAT play call.

Great call, perfect timing, excellent execution ...

If we’re gonna continually diss Streeter for “vanilla” play calling, at least give credit where it’s due.

Yep - that was a spicy wrinkle.

Completely enjoyed that play.

That was the kind of imaginative play call

that Elliott didn’t seem to have in him.

We must be paying Streeter more than we paid Elliott…

That’s why he can call better plays.

Listening to the announcers durning several games…

they’ve broken down several really well designed offensive plays, and pointed to how well they were coached and executed. Streeter is doing a really good job.

Overall I’m happy with streeter. Does make some frustrating calls though

I am actually pretty happy with Streeter's play calls once we got past the early cupcake games and he opened up the playbook some. I am seeing a lot more motion, Tight End throws, misdirection...yes, the last 10 minutes where he chose to sit on the lead instead of going for the throat didn't work out, but hopefully he realized this and will learn from it. I think both Streeter and Goodwin are smart enough to learn from their mistakes and get better. So will the players.

I’m with you on how some fans only seem to point out play calls they hate. Streeter called a good game until we downshifted midway thru the 3rd. Plenty of examples beyond this flea flicker, which was fun to see. End of the half, when we got the ball back, roughly a minute to play, 3 TOs, he didn’t do the first down air it out go for jugular that FSU was expecting. Runs Shipley, which had been working, we pick up 36 yards and punch it in 2 plays later on a bootleg by DJ out of the timeout. Very good play calling. Plenty more but that example really stuck out (in a good way) at the time.

That DJ pass was a 'rope'... a little wobble but FLAT!***

Lol. Yeah it was. Think he got rid of it quickly because he knew Antonio Williams wanted no part of standing in the pocket to block. ?

Kinda felt some new wrinkles were in the fold and said as much in another thread. Also knew the TE is becoming more of a weapon. I expect even more " razzle dazzle " plays are being worked into our offense. Maybe put Randall in the slot and watch him go. We haven't yet developed a possession receiver like Renfrow that is dependable to bail us out on third and short. Spector showed a little hesitancy when his number was called and get caught looking up the field ( hearing footsteps) and didn't secure the catch. Not a slight against Spector , let's just keep tinkering until we get it right. Randall is a bigger guy and has the bonus of being a playmaker in the open field. But that's another wrinkle that is yet to unfold. I too am a little discouraged that we didn't seem to keep the hammer down and finish these guys in championship fashion but we'll get there.

The Beauty of it was ,Collins was the primary WR

and DJ went to the TE. That play will be there again, even with Williams or the RB keeping it. Wrinkles upon wrinkles

I think both Collins and Ngata were open but he was looking for Davis. He's learned who can (and will) catch the ball.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It really was! Perfectly dialed up by Streeter!***
