dislike them as much as anyone... but players like george rogers, sterling sharpe, robert brooks, clowney could have played for anyone. they've had some outstanding individual players. teams... not so much.

Sorry but I'm pretty sure guys like Clowney and Lattimore would likely have had even better numbers here. Those guys would be monsters anywhere.

I was a student at Clemson during those years. Two things I remember: 1. All of the chicken fans clucking about him one day being a Heisman candidate when he was a freshman. 2. Them yelling Rooooodneeeeey Rooooodneeeeey when he had a less than stellar game against them in '87. Then us joyfully yelling Eeeeeelliiiis Eeeeeelliiiis in'88.
