Hold up, you said you had the #1 defense this year... I mean that's what the stats told us...we kept suggesting to you your conference sucks, thus good numbers on D, but you didn't want to hear that noise
628 yards on essentially 3 qtrs of Burrow ended the game kneeling on your 5 yard line with 60 seconds to go...
Auburn had the best dline this year, and LSU racked up 525 yards on their D, a wet field with 4 turnovers that game.

These guys are just carrying on. We had a great D this year y'all just had a greater O. Our number 1 CB couldn't stop y'alls number 1 WR. That was ball game pretty much. We needed our O to be better tho. Our D did what it needed to do to start the 2nd half and our O couldn't move the ball after the first TD. Bad play calling and great D from LSU. I was proud of our D for fighting but after Terrell got beat 3 drives in a row in the first half I knew our O had to just outscore y'all and they couldn't do it.

The ebb and flow of college football. Remember FSPU in 2013 and then 2014? 'Bammer in 2015 and 2016, 2017 and 2018. It happens all the time. I'm guessing LSU is not nearly as good in 2020.

I've always wished we could've seen that defense with even an above average offense. That unit just absolutely wrecked opponents despite playing with what was the worst Clemson offense this decade by a wide margin. Give them an offense from any other Clemson team of the decade, and they have a cake walk to the championship. Take a look at some of the numbers.
Defense: #1 in YPG #1 in YPP #1 in 1stD/G #2 in PYPG #3 in PPG #4 in YPC #5 in RYPG #5 in Comp %
Offense: #61 in YPG #76 in YPP #75 in 1stD/G #39 in PYPG #54 in PPG #107 in YPC #90 in RYPG #14 in Comp %

Except against Oklahoma, after Streeter, in his first game as a Clemson assistant, aided by brand-new, totally green co-OC's, had performed his miracle turn-around of Cole Stoudt.

Well, let's play that game shall we, take the LSU 2011 team that was undefeated SEC champs, I don't think Clemson crosses midfield until the 3rd qtr. I don't think any of your Clemson teams could beat that team... see how this works?
Add Devin White and Greedy Williams to LSU defense this past year.... they left early...How many did you lose last year early?

Last year we lost the greatest DL in college football history. That's why we dominated last year.
