So Let Me Get This Straight - Beating Michigan in 2OT

is a "great" win when OSU was a 6.5 point favorite at home. It is a win, but really it was an underwhelming performance AND OSU did not exactly dominate the week prior.

Hey, I don't suck
From my end it was a great win because they were ranked #3, plus we don't give a #### for the whole state of Michigan and we wrote a song about it.
It wasn't pretty, sure. I don't believe it really needed to be.

Settle down chief, I'm a Tiger fan as well. Will have kids there thru the next decade.
I was born and raised in Ohio - didn't have a choice in that. I'm thrilled to be down in SC now, and while I will never go back, I'll always see the field with a little scarlet and gray tinting. I mean no malice, just offering a different perspective.

That's the better way to do it!
Gator Bowl was just before I was born. The Orange Bowl was one of the hardest games I've ever watched. I truly wanted one side to win and the other not to lose. This year's pending edition will probably be harder than that. I just want to fast forward and watch the winner smash Bama.

QB was supposed to be out for the game. When the news leaked he was playing the line dropped. It was around 3.5 by game time. But that's not really the issue...
Why should OSU be a victim of their own success? Beating the #3 team in the country is an accomplishment. Bama would be favored by more than a TD over us if we play them in the playoff. Would them beating us by a narrow margin not be an accomplishment just because they were so good throughout the season that they opened as an 8-9 point favorite?

mmmhhhh did you watch the game? MI QB handed it to them

as well as refs not calling holding on OSU when MI receivers were trying to catch the ball. OSU QB not even CLOSE to making that first down on 4th and 1. Any other questions?

Gotta disagree. I realize this is a Clemson board so I will refrain from posting the pics that (in my scarlet / gray tinted glasses) show that he broke the plain for the first down - unless you'd like to see them.
OSU also left 6 points off the final tally when the kicker got wide-eyed. Lots of reasons both teams could have/did win, and both teams could have/did lose.

the qb bounced off him and ball was in right hand....you are starting to sound like the a hole refs that did the Clemson/OSU orange bowl which were OUT OF THEIR MINDS! They are the only reason you were still in the game. I'm done talking to you about this. OSU will always get the breaks and their fans and team suck.

The ball is basically on his hip pad and is up by JTs face mask. The overhead photo shows where that would be on the plane. It's hard to argue the ball didn't touch the white with these composites.

The ball is in his right hand I am just not sure those pictures clear it up. The lineman's butt was behind the line and that is where the ball is at in the pics. If any team plans to beat Bama they will have to bring their A game or better and hope Bama plays a C game. If us and Washington win then it should be 1. Bama, 2. Clemson, 3. Washington, 4. Osu. So you should get bama first.

The ball is a bit higher than the butt, more near the small of his back. Here his left elbow is on the plane of the white line. His body may be slightly leaning back, but it's not a lot of that's the case. It would be reasonable to say his right elbow should be at or near the plane as well. The ball is forward from his right elbow.
I would be quite interested in a a 3D composite of this just to see what 50 ESPN cameras couldn't clearly capture.
I wouldn't care if OSU was seeded 4th. As I said, that would help solve my loyalty problem

So, again, there is no visual evidence he was short and plenty of evidence he made the line to gain. At the very least, there is nothing that shows the ref standing right there to be wrong.
Your hatred for OSU is showing more than his scarlet and gray tint.

If UMs QB doesnt go full ###### twice, UM wins handily. Doesnt matter, we could cream either team.

...rather than the boys from that stupid "Big House". OSU got man-handled on both sides of the ball and a decent offense would have easily put that game away on them.

I have no love for Ohio State, but you're telling me that if Clemson was favored by 6 over the #3 team in the country that you'd think Clemson didn't play well if they won that game by 3? I'm pretty sure we had several games this season in which we didn't cover the spread if we're going to start ranking teams based on that line of thinking. Don't get me wrong, I think that Clemson would beat Ohio State, but that's some pretty silly logic IMO.
