Had Clemson not lost at home to Pitt in 2016 . . .

Clemson would be sitting on a 59 game home winning streak - besting the all time longest home winning streak of 58 by Miami.

The shovel pass game…

I think that was our worst performance by a BV defense. I couldn’t believe he didn’t correct it a halftime.

Nor were we able to get 2 yards in 2 plays to ice the game.

Vfral1, a different quality opponent but the BV Tiger defense gave up 49 against O31-0 in the 2020 season CFP game, which was the most points given up during his time as DC at Clemson.

We have not been beaten by a shovel pass a single time since that game, as far as I can remember. Several teams tried them after Pitt carved us up, and they were stuffed consistently.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, what a merry Christmas we could have. We’ve been hosed, but let’s just get over it and win out. We can’t fix past officiating errors.

There was a post about that earlier today. I don't think that was ever publicly acknowledged, but he never officiated a game of ours after that one. He's moved on to the NFL now.

He never officiated another Clemson game after that, yes. But as the poster above me, he went to the NFL, which the irony of that is hilarious. I'm still just flabbergasted the guy still has a job after that night. It was insane how badly officiated that game was.

Had the ball first and goal from the 2. Should of ran it and kicked the FG if you don't score a TD. Oh well the season turned out pretty good.

It was second and goal from the 3 when DW4 threw the pick.
The biggest chance was 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 on our last drive. Gallman got stuffed twice and they took over at their 35.

Day at the Valley. Sure wish we could’ve stopped one shovel pass or gotten one measly yard or kidnapped heydt before the game.
