yesterday, I took a look at the new Video/Scoreboard in Death Valley. That thing is gonna be huge.... Here's a picture of where they are with it as of yesterday:

I remember my dad driving me around campus the first time and we pulled up at the top of the hill with a full, unobstructed view of the valley. It was something to behold, now we get to see the back end of a video board. I guess it would have been a bridge too far to put it over the West endzone expansion, it would have been far more impressive to recruit and the players running down to see the video board FROM the top of the hill, but donors gotta donor.

They better hustle to get that thing done. I figured it would be about done by now so they get all the kinks ironed out calibrating it. I fear this might turn into a last second Clark Griswold moment trying to get that tv turned on while 80k of us all wait with anticipation.

The National Championship in January will pack Death Valley with fans watching our Tigers win our 4th National Championship and 3rd in the last 6 years on the New Video board..

Hopefully the media team can create some good videos. The Dream 1 and 2 where exceptional. Since then they have all been below par on expectations. We need to revamp the excitement back to the 2015-2018 days.

For those objecting to the large Jumbotron blocking the view,

Actually it sits so much higher than the last Jumbotron that you can see the whole field under it.

True but I was thinking they should have put it a little bit higher given it's size. Maybe equal distance higher than it is now. That thing may cast mega light and shadows on the field especially at night games. I hate that one at GT the way it flashes down so close to the field.
