Always liked that hard practice theory until I saw how many injuries our modern day players seem to get..

even with today's pampering, gourmet meals, vitamins, therapists, hot-cold muscle healing pool treatments and the whole ball of wax.

I may be mistaken but seems the first years of Dabo, really until about the time of TL, I had the impression or guys had practiced hard as hell and were just as hungry whenever we played past season. I don't perceive this as a current standard.

I do recall those bowl practices before the 2012 LSU bowl were brutal. All the players were talking about how physical they were and how tough. Then we came out and made Clemson football history and created a dynasty run.

I knew people on the medical/training staff at the time who would attest.

Still, the realistic scenarios created in Danny’s practice grinf probably helped his guys to be ready for the situations they faced in games.

If they were physically able to dress out on Saturday that is … 😉

Remember, ol' Danny played at Alabama under Stallings who had the Bear Bryant mindset. Weed out the weak and make the strong stronger thru tough practices...

Danny Ford is old but I'm older.....
