Why not Cincinnati ???

Screw WV.
The more obvious choice, after the babies in South Bend, is Cincinnati. Or "Cincinnata" as they say!
1. They would bring the HUGE Ohio TV market
2. High school football is huge there and it would be great for recruiting
3. They are better in football than WV (Now and probably longer term)
4. Bonus: It would #### of Ohio State fans and coaches!!! (recruiting, recruiting, recruiting)
Imagine kids in Ohio wearing Clemson gear!!!

Because they are a G5 team with a small fanbase which would not increase the amount paid for TV rights. So adding the Bearcats would reduce the amount paid to each ACC school at a time when the SEC payout is going up an estimated $15M per school

Again, recruiting, recruiting, recruiting.
Its all about Money Money Money . Clemson already does great recruiting but wont be able to compete for the long term if an SEC school is bringing in Millions more per year.

Or that Cincinnati is the “far superior” choice to WVU, or that they have more long-term upside in football than WVU, etc…Good lord.
Don’t like WVU? Don’t want them in the ACC? Fine. But leave it there and rooted in some semblance of reality.

I don’t want either … but if I had to choose between the two it would be wvu , but again I don’t think either is the right choice … making ND $H1t or get off the pot should be first rule of business then go from there

Here's my take FWIW...

While there are a few upsides (a large student body, top 30 market, solid revenue sports, and they're located in a part of the country that is untapped by the current ACC. Also, being a former member of the Big East, they have a history with a number of current ACC teams), ultimately their "national brand" still leaves a little to be desired. The school also received under $5 million in athletic related contributions which is really poor.
For me, it's more about getting better that simply trying to get bigger. Would Cincinnati really make the ACC better?
