100% correct! There was nothing good going to come from him making those statements. Calling out the fans and media is one thing (and deserved), but making threats to find somewhere else will be emailed to every recruit we're chasing out there.

Opened some fans eyes to the spoiled brat Bama attitude building up in Clemson fan. Had to be addressed.

David Hood should have kept his mouth shut.He is a journalist and they stir the pot.He should get a job with msnbc or cnn.

I know what Dabo said and what he meant. Im not the one typing up national headlines for ESPN. You're missing the point.

You're missing the point if you didn't listen. Dabo acquitted himself very well today. I tried my best to ask a question with no intent to inflame. If ESPN would play just the segment where he speaks to his comment, I think the firestorm would die down. Peace my Tiger brother.

They are running with what will get the most views. I know Dabo didn't mean he was leaving or looking to leave Clemson. ESPN doesn't seen to acknowledge that. They like the controversy

That headline is just sad and embarrassing.
Clemson fans are very supportive of the program. Many schools would wish for a fanbase that can fill an 80k+ stadium. We have it great with Dabo but he also has it great with us.

Two points....
Nov 27, 2018, 5:54 PM
|
|
1. I still don't grasp what David Hood did that was wrong. He provoked thought, by some...and lost minds by many others. 2. Dabo knows...KNOWS...that for the most part, there is no bad publicity. The whole country's talking about Clemson. And no one was raped, bludgeoned, murdered, tarred, feat...ok...the Scoks were de-fleathered.
It's really a sad state of affairs when a man can be lambasted for doing his job by a bunch of 'spineless' soles (intended) he'll never meet. Actually, on that point, he's fortunate.

Ok so as a recruit, you see this headline all over the place and misconstrued words of Dabo. You second and third guess your choices. Im sure there are other repercussions

Do you believe that?

If a recruit really knows Dabo and his history and, more importantly, the type person he is, then they know he speaks his mind and, most of all, supports his players. Far too many coaches simply 'coach speak'...that's all you get. Dabo doesn't walk through life...he takes it on full force and is who he is. I think most people simply bash on him when they can out pure jealousy.
I don't take comments at face value, nor do I look for a quote and choose to attack to hear myself. More often than not, I'll be wrong if I react that way...the operative word being react...which is what most people did.
If you don't have the courage of your conviction...stay in the shadows.

Hood has never been a Dabo fan. He was against hiring him in 08. And his article was just an attempt to cause drama like 90% of news outlets. He "heard" someone (unidentified) say it felt like a loss. Yeah, ok. Fake news.

Why let it go? It’s national news now.
If Dabo really wants to leave then I wish him well. No one should stay if they are unhappy.
Clemson fans are not ungrateful and don’t deserve to be driven through the muck. Anyone ever think if we do look for a new head coach these headlines may come back to bite us?

You don’t feed the trolls. Their grads will run with this as long as they can to try and undermine the program. It’s a non-story but they will make it one.

That PTI segment was awful. They called Clemson fans morons and said they hoped Dabo would leave.
I really don’t think the fan base deserved this at all. A small segment were unhappy, not the overwhelming majority.
It’s an embarrassment for Clemson. An absolute embarrassment. If you want to leave leave. You don’t have to drag us through the muck on your way out.

Dabo can do what he wants to do. I would have been mad if I was the head coach of a team that has accomplished so much and heard that some fans that have absolutely nothing to do with the process said that the game felt like a loss. I think he was right
