Feel for you bro...

Nov 28, 2012, 7:10 PM

I grew up in Columbia from 1976-1984, and only had to suffer after the 1979 game...never had to do 2 in a row, much less "dabo's" record setting 4 in a row!!!!! Hang in there.

Even worse my weekly golf group is seven gameflops and me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you befriend them, you sort of asked for it.

Nov 28, 2012, 9:41 PM

I can't understand Clemson people that have anything to do with anyone with ties to that place (fan or grad).

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

really?

Nov 29, 2012, 9:08 AM

I hope you're kidding. If you only limit yourself to having friends that pull for certain teams, you're missing out on life.

Even the little mini Gamecocks in my pediatric practice have been making fun of me this week, especially when they get put in my "All In, All Orange" exam room. It's been a painful week.

Re: This week as a Tigers in cootlumbia has been as much fun as

Nov 28, 2012, 9:37 PM

Your analogy sucked to high heaven and no I did NOT laugh. To you question my coot friends have said very little about the game. That bothered me more. They expected the win and so there was no need to rub it in my face. The real hard part is they are MORE upset about Georgia's situation than our loss. I feel like most of my coot friends are taking a "we hate Georgia" attitude more than a "we hate Clemson". I know they are in the same conference and have battled to the wire for the SEC east but to put "Georgia hate" above "Clemson hate" bothered me.

Not real fun in the coot outskirts here in Pelion either.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol. i have ra, which is a disabling disease, and y'all can

Nov 29, 2012, 2:19 AM

make jokes about it, i mean heck, i do. lighten up people. people need to get a little thicker skin.i enjoyed mjf's shows as much as anybody, and hate that he has parkisons disease. however, in his life, i'm sure he has lived alot more comfortable than you or i. he was humping movie stars, while i was humping my ruck. (see what i did there).

however, being a tiger fan in columbia, or anywhere in sc right now, is no laughing matter.we have got to retake this rivalry, in all sports-ASAP.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oddly enough, the Gamecock folks I know here in Columbia

Nov 29, 2012, 7:06 AM

have expressed as much surprise with their win, as I have with our loss. Just about all believed Clemson would steamroll them this year. We only discussed the game briefly, then resumed the tasks at hand...I came out of retirement recently to conduct a sales campaign for a large retailer, who is a Gamecock donor and who has been one of my son's close friends for 30 years. The campaign has been quite successful...and knowing him very well, he isn't about to let the rivalry affect his business...if you follow my drift! lol

Wow, have some integrity man. no one will believe that lie. I knew very few Gamecocks that thought USC would lose. Lying to make yourself feel better is still a lie. Just remember that.

Re: Oddly enough, the Gamecock folks I know here in Columbia

Nov 29, 2012, 9:00 AM

That's weird since every USC fan I talked to at the game thought they would lose.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I know what you mean. My dogs' Vet is a Clemson man

Nov 29, 2012, 8:31 AM [ in reply to Oddly enough, the Gamecock folks I know here in Columbia ]

through and through. I've had Carolina fans give me grief for taking my dogs to him. But I tell them if the VET is good, and he's real good, I don't give a rip who he supports. End of story. By the way, this is one Carolina fan, and there were many others, who never doubted we'd win. Why? The records between the 2 were similar; yet we played a much tougher schedule. Because of that and because we had the advantage at the line of scrimmage, there was never a doubt in our minds over the outcome.
