we play very well under Dabo when the staff has extra time to prepare. Also, I'm thinking we can dare the BBheads to try to beat us through the air. They likely can't.
I like us by at least a TD. Hence, easy money.

Only easy money was the Wake Forest over.
At least that is the only Tigers related bet I made this year that felt like a no brainer going into it.

I don’t bet a lot. Maybe one or two small ones each week just for bragging rights with friends. Rarely do I bet anything with spread or moneyljne with Tigers except for the occasional over/Uber.
This past week did t bet at all. If I had I would have bet on Syracuse. My thinking was that they would be galvanized after the close loss thinking they could play with the big boys and ND still finding their identity. Still, had my doubts.
I applaud your conviction and foresight.

My thinking is TN comes crashing back to earth. Playing in Athens is a tall order for a team that hasn't had much success since . . . well, heck, since mullets were popular somewhere other than cootlumbia or WVa.
I would feel better taking the Dawgs and laying the pts.

Here you go
1. We do not have a set QB (thats a big deal). If we had a QB who was rolling and cemented into that starting role this game would be a -6.5 to -7
2. Defense goes to sleep for quarters at a time
3. OL play has been a little inconsistent
4. We are playing ND in South Bend (thats worth something)...and its complete garbage we have gone back there with no return matchup to DV. Trash scheduling

DJ had ONE BAD GAME...........could be a trend started or could be a "blip"......we shall see. I think it's a little unfair to have him perform decent to good in every game EXCEPT one, but then give our WRs/playcalling/OLine/Defense/etc... a pass......(although you did throw in Defense/Oline in #2/3).
In every game we've had 1-3 "issues" rear their ugly head and just when we think we've corrected/mitigated them, something else shows up............hence why we haven't put together a true "COMPLETE GAME"..........hopefully that trend changes, but to start the Blame DJ narrative again after one bad game is a little unfair, considering the inconsistencies elsewhere on our team the entire season.

the WRs, Oline, playcalling, etc.......can't just lump DJ into a boat of his own when other(s) units have been "bad" many times over the last 12-14 months.

DJ is what he is. In a world of QBs who are able to scramble and make plays in chaos he aint that....
He is kind of what he is.

1. If the line reflects a belief we have a QB controversy, I'll double my bet. The 'cuse game was an anomaly for DJ. The ND defense is good, but we bring a balanced offense and DJ has had the benefit of an off week.
2. I think we can make them one-dimensional.
3. Fair enough. Call it even.
4. The mystique? Nah. Not an issue.
I like us at least a TD still.

1st series with ND: 2015 @Clemson, 2020 @ND 2nd series with ND: 2022 @ND, 2023 @Clemson
Hope that helps to clarify.

4. ND is 3-2 at home this year. Losses to MARSHALL, and Stanford, and wins over BYU, UNLV, and Cal. Not real scary. And the schedule is correct - 2015 home, 2020 there, 2022 there, 2023 home. Will you be whining when we play them at home again in 2027??

Few times is it blindly easy money; I remember -14 and -11 against FSU and Syracuse.

But so is ND. Something gives. I still think laying 3.5 is gravy. We're easily 10 pts better. Just have to avoid beating ourselves.

by 10 and not 3.5.
That said, I think this is a good matchup for us and I think we will cover because of that providing we take care of the ball.

If we were 10pts better from a power ratings perspective, we would be (at least close to) 10 pt favorites - ignoring home field advantage.
We're not though. We're roughly 7pts better from a power ratings perspective and once you add in 3-3.5 points for home field advantage you arrive at exactly the 3.5 to 4 point spread we have right now.
That IS how point spreads work because the alternative implies that Vegas sets inefficient lines that could be exploited by sharp bettors.

So when the line moves, it's because one of the teams got better or worse midweek?
The point of the spread is to get even money on both sides.

You get even money on both sides by setting a good line that

reflective of the expected outcome in the game. If the line does not reflect the expected outcome it gets bet in one direction leading to a correction that isn't ideal for the books. I can promise you they'd rather set a good opening line than one that gets bet heavy on one side and has to be moved alot in the other direction.
What do you think would happen if the line was Clemson -10? Boatloads of money would go on ND and it would be very difficult to ever even that money back out without opening up a large middle opportunity.

You should be good because we only lost in the past when I betted. Haven’t done it in a while and not this week so you’re good for easy money.
