Sold out doesn’t mean everyone shows up. Clemson was sold out against both Furman and LaTech but the upper corners were bare. Now the fact that 45% of the 32000 were in orange. You can’t hide that. Go tigers. We have a ton of work to do before next Saturday.

He’s right one play did make the difference it was that phantom personal foul call in the second quarter that changed the game and let Wake back in it. They removed the targeting but kept it as a personal foul which was ridiculous the receiver tipped the ball and was fair game there was no personal foul. It gave wake a first down and they scored a couple of plays later. It changed the football game. The refs are going to miss some calls here and there but they really threw the flags for wake today while our defensive line will surely need new stitching on the jerseys from all of the holding. I’m glad to get out of Winston-Salem with the win. I doubt Wake will lose another game they are a great senior led experienced team and a solid top 20 club Go Tigers!!!

Glad one other person saw all those missed holding calls. It have for even senior DB to cover WR for lost time with the non holding calls.

Thank you for pointing that out. I said over and over it’s amazing that the Wake O-Line didn’t hold any of our players all day. Especially when you run a slow mesh.
I was screaming on the third down prior to the last play of the game. Hartman leaves the pocket and KJ is held up from making the play. Hartman gains 4 yards to force a 4th and 6 but it should have been 3rd and 20. Not an issue as our defensive backs made 1 play all day and it was the last one of the game.
Gotta give DJ some props. 375 yards and 5 TD’s. That’s a great game.

The officials were awful. They were bad both ways but the unnecessary roughness penalty against Clemson was particularly bad. It wasn’t targeting but I don’t know how a defensive player is supposed to pull up on a play like that.

It’s a great win for us, but Coach Clawson blew it for Wake. We couldn’t stop their passing offense until the 2nd OT. With 5 minutes to go, Wake gets the ball. He goes conservative. We hold and send it to OT. He should have kept doing what worked for 3 quarters for them. IMO. But, obviously, I am happy. Go Tigers!!!

We need to give Goodwin credit for changing the coverage late in the game and not allowing Wake to continue with what had been working earlier.

Yeah but it should have been changed waaaaaay earlier. Hopefully he learns from this and makes adjustment sooner.

This was a great game to watch. Me and my dad took my oldest daughter for her 1st game and she had a blast. Wake is really good at wide receiver too. There were phantom PI calls too. Wake held on every play and some were just obvious and the refs wouldn't call it. What ever, we won. GO TIGERS!!!

Clawson and Cumbie. How often to you play to consecutive games against really class acts like those two. We were fortunate in both games, particularly the Wake game. But it really is fun to be reminded what college football ought to be about and how it ought to be played, especially after all the horrors of the last off-season.

The corners were not filled but that game had the largest amount of Wake fans since I have been attending every game since 2010. It is normally 40 to 50 percent orange. It was more like 25% to 30% Orange.
