Kirby Smart on Clemson-Georgia matchup
The highly-anticipated ACC/SEC matchup between No. 3 Clemson and No. 5 Georgia is almost here. Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart was a guest on the ESPN College GameDay show on Saturday and said that his team is getting excited to play the Tigers next weekend. “It ramps it up when you are play Read Update » |

The Tigers always win in Charlotte & this game won’t be an exception to the rule. Tigers will battle like crazy the 1st 2 quarters but make separation at the end of the 2nd & beginning of the 3rd as our speed & depth on defense is to much for UGA to find a way to score more.
Tigers 32 1/2
UGA 6 1/4

It's all they have to cling to. Well, like the coots, they can always cling to the successes that AL, UF and LSU have had over the last 40 years.

Youre still pissed that we stopped you from getting a NC in '81. It was there for you to have and we stone walled you. Get over it. All the victories from 40+ years ago, that and $10 spot will get you a coffee at Starbucks. The kids playing on Sat are the grandchildren of those players. When you want to talk relevance, and get your head out of your ####, come on back

Asking what UGA historically does well during an exchange about UGA vs Clemson is a batting practice pitch over the middle of the plate.

Sure, if the extent of your rebuttal is the synopsis of an era of football the last two generations have to look up in a history book.

You’re trying too hard. This is the closest you’ve ever come here to making a relevant dig though you’re showing your desperation to be right. Face it, Clemson lives in your head rent free and your only retort is what happened decades past though there is only one realm of relevance, the now. As the saying goes, ### have you done lately???

A guy took your I'll advised and clearly not well-thought out attempt at a "dig" and embarrassed you with it. Next time put time references or limits on what you accept as "historical." Then you won't have to get all worked up like this afterwards.

Lol, You’d love to think I’m worked up. This response was more than evidence you wiffed and still don’t know it. Here’s the bit where you and your sage hit the skids, “Clemson historically PERFORMS…” For those that struggle with this piece of the English language, that’s the present tense. Everything you needed to avoid the embarrassment you feel right now is there.
Did you graduate from IGA? I know a few alum and they remind me of you in similar conversation.

You have to admit that in the SEC, Jawja has "Historically" done less with more talent than any team that plays in the SEC. So to make it "Historically" very clear, Jawja/UGA, has under achieved more than any team in the SEC. Even USUC has taken less talent, and beat a heavy talented Jawja program. The facts are, USUC and Jawja are 6-6 since 2010 till now... Jawja equals less with MORE, and USUC has never had more talent than Jawja, not even close!!!

LOL! Actually "the facts" are that since 2010, we've played usc 11 times (not 12) and the record is 6-5 (not 6-6). It's funny you use the last 11 games as a comparison because in the last 11 games, Clemson has the exact same record vs USC: 6-5 (of course, your record includes 5 losses in a row - something UGA has never done vs usc - and all 5 of your losses were 10+ point blowouts, where most of ours were squeakers)
But all that being said, what either team has done or not done vs South Carolina recently will have little or nothing to do with the game on Saturday. I agree with pawsrule below, enough opinion and predictions. I'm just ready to kick this thing off.

The UGA fan is correct. You asked a question about what Georgia has done historically against Clemson snd the numbers are way in favor of UGA. Dumb comment by the Clemson guy. Three up a meatball and the bulldog knocked it outside of the park!! Kudos to the Dawg.

Man, I can’t tell whether you are trolling the pups or Clemson on this response. That’s not at all what I asked or suggested, captain comprehension.
You also aren’t fooling anyone, you dum-bass. Even a coot could have trolled better, scratch that, coot.

You are talking History? Clemson is 8-13-1 since 1974 (my school days), then Georgia quit playing Clemson.
Back in 1969, Georgia was over 3 three times the size of Clemson. Georgia enrollment was about 22,600 and Clemson was 6,670. Got it, Georgia is much bigger. In 1981, GA 25,641 Clemson 11,926. So, y’all liked playing ‘Little Ole Clemson’ back then. My favorite game in Death Valley, was in 1981 Clemson stuffing the reining National Champs. A little ancient history, we had a 6-0 streak when Clemson outscored Georgia 194-10 from 1900-1906. Six (6) of the first 36 meetings were in Clemson, most games were in Athens. Got it. Clemson has lost a lot more games to Georgia and Alabama when we were not competitive 50 to 100 years ago.
That has changed! Not ‘Little Ole Clemson’ anymore. Your Great-Grandma would be shocked! Looking forward to September 4th…… Go Tigers, Beat JawJa!!!

Only record that matters is 1-1 since Dabo has been coach. Event better is 0-0 since Kirby has been coach. So we’ll see how Kirby does against elite coaching. I love how all Dog fans can say is 42-18-4. It’s laughable that you can’t give a legit football reason why you will actually win this game. No RB even close to Chubb or Gurley on this roster. No legit WR threats. Lost Washington. No Gilbert. If you think your going to come in and run it down our throats like you did in the 4th quarter of the 2014 game you are dreaming.

...And y'all won the last one . This game involves two elite teams ( very exciting opener ) and there is no margin for error on either side . Still , Vegas has Tigers as a -3 for a reason , and it's safe to assume it is because Charlotte is a very familiar place to Swinney's teams and a big key to his success over the last decade has been winning championship games in that stadium . I think we win by 2 scores but I may be biased and I am often wrong . Hope the players get through it healthy ...and you never know , depending on how both team's seasons play out we may get a rematch near the end .

I hope that TE has the first play designed with four wide receivers. Then play hurry up, no huddle to drive for a touchdown. Send the Dawgs to the sideline after the PAT to wonder what just happened.
