Adam Frieman, recruiting analyst for Rivals is pretty sure that Campbell will be committing to Clemson, and I hope that he is right. It's a fact that over the years of elite recruiting on the defenses side of the ball for our Tigers has kept our team in many FB games, and they have been the main reason for as many W's that Dabo has had during his years as HC at Clemson.

From the looks of how Matt Luke is recruiting for our OL, hopefully he and Riley can build our offense up to the point that our Tigers doesn't have to wait until we can convince a special talent like Trevor Lawrence to come in before we're able to win championships.

I believe that if our offense is built with elite recruiting across the offense like we've done with our defense, we won't need a generational QB like a Trevor Lawrence to stay absolutely healthy to get our team to the playoffs or to the championship game. Keeping our defense built with elite recruiting like we've done for years, doing the same with the offensive side of the ball. I believe we can win championships with the next man up mentality with our offense as we've done with our defense, and we won't have to have a generational QB to do it.

I want us to have a Tiger FB team that will be a threat about every year with a QB that can manage the game without turning the ball over. I believe that is the type of teams that Saban has had year in and year out, and their offenses made their QBs successful, their QB didn't have to make their offense successful, and that's what I want for our Clemson Tiger FB team. When a FB team has to depend on their QB to make them successful, just one intentional bad hit on your QB can destroy a teams season, but that doesn't happen when the next man up in the QB room can manage the team like the starter...

When we look at the success that Saban has all his years as a college HC, they were built so that no one player made the team successful....

You make a good point. I certainly wouldn't consider Greg McElroy as an "elite" QB...far from it. Yet they won with him under center.
