Skip Wise was the most talented Clemson bb player of all time. He had the potential to be the next Oscar Robertson, but drugs derailed ruined his career.

Yes, you can't really name a list of best all-time Tiger basketball players and not have Skip Wise at the very top.
He was head and shoulders above every player who ever played for Clemson.
Probably the only player we ever signed who would have legitimately started for Duke or UNC as a freshman ... that's how good he was.
My choices would be:
Skip Wise Horace Grant Larry Nance Dale Davis Billy Williams (JUCO who made the 1980 Elite 8 team "go")

agree on Billy Williams. I really like Buckner on that list. He was just able to do so much for the program.

Agree if we are talking about most talented/impactful while a player at Clemson. The list provided is a great list of guys that continued on to the pros but there have been some incredibly talented players that were very impactful at the college level only.

Hands down the most talented player as Marshall said. Outside the Len Bias story, this is one of the saddest in all of college basketball.

Base your list on what players accomplished at.....

Clemson, not in the NBA.
For the one year he was here, Skip Wise IMO should definitely be on your list. He was 1st-team All-ACC as a true freshman which was unheard of back in the 70s, especially from a Clemson player.

Skip Wise was the first Freshman to make first team All ACC !! Also the best player we ever had, even if it was for one year.

I agree. And it's tough to argue with the number of championship rings between that group.
Anyway, I'm rotating those five guys and bringing in Skip and Chris Whitney in as my guards.

Have had to unc, duke, ucla and Indiana.... Etc
And you'll find.... We have not exactly been barn burners in the past.

The best player ever in Clemson was an 8th grader at Daniel in the early '60's; I believe his name was Maravich.
