Georgia has speed

|
Arian Smith WR 10.10 Ameer Speed CB 10.39 Kelee Ringo CB 4.30
Cornerback Jalen Kimble and receiver Jermaine Burton were also clocked at 4.4 and 4.43, respectively, at the Nike Opening.
https://clemsonsportstalk.com/s/7097/speed-killsSpeed Kills The Clemson offense lost speedy running back Travis Etienne to the NFL and will have to find other players to make explosive plays. Speed and explosion are almost synonymous in football and can suddenly change the tempo of a game on either side of the ball. Who has the most speed in 2021?

So Georgia has to beat Alabama to get to the Playoffs and we have to beat who? TigerNet readers have a short memory from the trashing of Ohio State. Georgia is a really good team and I hope we can prove we are better than our last pathetic effort.

UGA recruiting
Aug 7, 2021, 4:17 PM
|
|
I could be the football coach at UGA and have a top five recruiting class. So UGA and Fla State can have a sped contest trophy. Quality of player as never been the problem. What happens if the Dawgs drop the game against Clemson? How much longer will Kirby be able to keep his job? I live in Georgia and have never seen my Dawg fan friends so desperate to win a football game.

Of course Kirby will keep his job. Clemson is favored to win the game.
What happens to Dabo when Clemson loses? Dabo...the greatest human being to walk the earth (well, in the last 2000 years) and the greatest eye for talent and character to ever sign a recruit. He's so far superior to Kirby Smart that this game is nothing more than a scrimmage for his Ragin' Datboys. What happens to his rep when he loses to the Dawgs one game after getting absolutely boat-raced by the #11 team in the country?
Nothing, you'll just blame the refs, or ESPN, or Paul Finebaum, or climate change.

I visit Dawg boards, Gamecock boards, Tennessee boards, Gator boards. You see a few "visitors' on all of 'em.
I've never really understood the objection to visitors on teams's board. Isn't the interaction better than just having everyone parrot exactly what you say or think? I occasionally post something a little ridiculous but it's usually in resonse to something ridiculous.

Are you serious??? This is just another SEC opener for Clemson. If Clemson drops the game, they go back to campus and prepare for game two. Dabo has proven himself. Kirby right now looks like Richt 2.0.

Possibly could be at end of season. Depends on what the score is. If Clemson boat races Georgia I’m sure the call in show will be a good time to put the kids to bed.

I'll let you in on a little secret: Clemson is a pretty good team. A loss isn't going to put Kirby on the hot seat. He'll get far more grief if he fails to win the East.

Pretty close, but this will be Kirby's 6th season (not 7th). His 1st year at UGA was 2016. And didn't Dabo become head coach during the 2008 season? So 2016 would have been his 9th year, right? I mean I suppose there's always a question as to how to count those partial seasons, but he had been Assistant Head Coach for a couple years at the time, and had been with the program for 5 or 6 years, right?
But regardless, I do find it interesting how our rivals all want to paint this as a "NC or bust" season for Kirby.

UGA has speed. UGA has more 5star speed sitting on the bench than any team outside Alabama and OHS.
Tigers are eager but have no speed. Most were rejected by other teams and ended up here. Tigers are undersized but the food here is great so all hope they might grow in a few years.
One plus is the fans. We aint worried as to this game. It ranks as one of the many great games Tigers on this team have played in. Unlike UGA fans, we aint sharting our pants, but are eager to see our TIGERS line up.

Speaking of, I spotted tug running quickly from a Publix, carrying something in his knickers. Could have been crabs, but he didn’t seem to be itching noticeably.

I am old and slow, but at 50 I was kicking a## at the Boston Marathon on a very hot day due to experience. Experience counts and TIGERS have that. They are young (most will be back next year) but have experience UGA does not have. Some who "excelled" as true freshmen last season will be back with experience. It is kinda scary how good this team can be.

I have done around 75 Marathons - most for fun. I only went all out in a few as that kills the brain. Those are early air shoes - Mariah. They were perfect for me, and so as to not wear them out, only wore them on days when I was "all in".
I remember one year at Boston Marathon when they paid Rosa Mota to come. Her Mariah's were lost and she would not race until they found her a pair. They did and she won. I finished only a few thousand behind her.

Yes, I have checked our speed. Is it a crime to share the info I saw in an article that listed our opponent's players? I thought this was a forum and Georgia was Clemson's opponent.

Well, they did lose to the coots at home as a 30 point favorite. That has to bring insecurity to new highs. Or would it be lows?
