Let me clarify for you since you clearly don't understand the sequence of events that have unfolded today.
1. Clemson had a backup that showed symptoms this week but continuously tested negative for Covid.
2. All teams take a third party Covid test on Fridays before playing on Saturday.
3. The ACC has a protocol in place for when a player tests positive on a Friday test.
4. Clemson followed the protocol and got permission from the ACC to play the game today.
5. FSU, who is tarnished with injuries like Clemson has been, decides they don't feel safe. Clemson's medical staff, as well as the ACC felt it was safe especially since all protocols were followed.
6. Clemson offers to stay and play Sunday or even Monday after testing again to ensure safety. The positive test was on Friday so this would be more than the 48 hour exposure window CDC and DHEC live by.
7. FSU still refuses.
8. Clemson wasted a week of preparation, tons of resources and money (even rented a tent big enough to hold team meetings with everyone 6 ft apart), and ETN lost a Heisman day where he would have had 300 all purpose yards and 3-4 touchdowns. Not to mention Trevor has not been able to play in a month and the Tigers need to get the heartbreaking loss to ND off their chest. Now Clemson nation must return home with nothing to show for their efforts because FSU didn't want to be embarrassed on national television again and may have to play the week before the ACC championship game where ND will have two weeks to prepare and Clemson will only have one if the Tigers take care of business.
Please let me know if you have any further questions and I'll direct you to the ACC protocols that are in place to avoid teams from doing exactly what happened today in Florida.

When my wife read that the game was being postponed at the bottom of Gameday screen, she says but why, my words were that FSU was running from the A$$ Rocking they were about to receive in their house. It IS IMO, if a team runs while in their yard, their yard becomes our Yard bc they were to scared to defend it. So the next time we go back to Doak Campbell Stadium, we will be there to collect our rent!!!

This is junk! FSU pays CU for their travel expenses!
This means more viewership for O310 and IU!

I would love to see Indiana beat OSU. I'm really P.O.'d that OSU is ranked 2nd in the top four while only playing 3 games (Clemson has played 8). I would pick both BYU (8-0) and Cincinnati (7-0) above OSU at this point....

I’m listening to the radio and they said a Clemson player tested positive. If true I wanna know if the player was given another test. There are tests now where you get the results back in 15 minutes. This ?? is a joke.

...for the season. Let the powers to be move to the CFP selection. Postpone/cancel the remaining games on Clemson's schedule. Clemson can rest up for the ACCCG. It is a lost season anyway.

This means we now do not have an open date before the ACC title game. DRad needs to send FSU the bill for our trip. The poor team. Put them at risk for exposure for nothing.

anytime. All rules concerning Covid can be adjusted to meet your desires. The Governor of Michigan shut the state down on Sunday, November 15, including all organized sports except professional teams. Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan all played football games Wednesday night, November 18. Anything goes.

If this game doesn't get rescheduled and/or we have another cancellation, am I right in thinking that puts Miami against ND in the ACC championship game if both those teams win out, since they'd have a higher winning %?

The potential problem for us comes in to play if ND loses a game. Assuming Miami and Clemson win out, all three teams would be tied for first place. The first tiebreaker in that scenario is winning percentage. If this FSU game is not rescheduled, then clemson would have a lower winning percentage than both Miami and ND and would miss out on the ACCCG...

other than the game being cancelled. What an effing joke. How about telling us what really happened rather than toeing the company line “both Florida State and Clemson have followed minimum protocol”. Almost pisses me off as much as the game being cancelled.

Unless Clemson is 100% in agreement that the cancellation was necessary, don’t reschedule. I see no upside for us in doing so after wins against Pitt and the Hokies. Unless, of course, those teams cancel also.

There is no path to a way to conclude this season and it makes zero sense for the NCAA to not go ahead and pull the plug.

Apparently evaluating and making this announcement yesterday before the team traveled all the way to Tallahassee was completely out of the question. Not sure who, but someone needs to get their head out of their a**

They are saying that Clemson had a. player who tested negative several times this past week, but this morning, or last night, tested positive. Hmmm.

Thoughts on Cancelations of Game.
Interesting statement from Dan Radakovich which seems to imply that Clemson was ready and willing to play. Thus the conclusion is FSU was not. It makes sense for FSU to take this position regardless of the COVID situation. What is the upside for FSU to play Clemson? They would have been stomped. FSU is trying to rebuild and anything they can do to bring down Clemson is a plus for them. Now they don’t have to explain the loss to recruits. If the game is replayed it will be right before the ACC championship game thus reducing Clemson’s chances of winning against Norte Dame the following week. FSU will be pulling for Clemson to lose the ACC championship game as it helps their recruiting. Something is very fishy. If both teams, followed the protocols and are considered safe, then suddenly one team wants to cancel at the last minute they should have to forfeit the game not postpone. I would not be surprised to see this to happen again with teams playing Clemson. Who needs an extra loss on their schedule just run and hide.

Prior to the start of the season, the ACC added an additional weekend to the schedule which gave postponed contests the opportunity to be made up on Dec. 12, prior to the league's championship game in Charlotte on Dec. 19. There are already four games scheduled for that weekend, and Clemson vs. Florida State could very well end up the fifth.

The additional weekend was added for legitimate COVID-related incidents - not ones in which the protocols were met by both teams. You can’t change the bar in the middle of the season and expect everyone to accept it and ignore the obvious.

The so-called “statements” from FSU, CU,and the ACC are bogus and completely devoid of facts...people don’t fall for flowery language and platitudes anymore. They want facts. Without facts, untruths and rumors fill the gaps, get circulated, and incite anger. What I want to know is..... Is Clemson going to stand up to this travesty and demand that FSU FORFEIT the game AND pay travel expenses not just for our team but for players’ PARENTS - some who have traveled across the entire country to see their sons play. If all the minimum protocols were followed, but the medical teams couldn’t come to an agreement, then the ACC should be the STRONG arbiter with a voice of reason that demands that the game be played or forfeited. This in support of a football program that has carried their conference now for years!! Can you see this happening to Alabama? Can you imagine Alabama accepting this same outcome as an answer/solution? Perhaps Clemson needs to find another conference where they will be respected and supported for what they bring to the football “table” as far as excellence and integrity.

Dabo to Norvell: “Really?”
Nov 21, 2020, 10:31 AM

Notice the pattern here nationally? It seems it is always the team who is about to be bludgeoned who calls it off.
FSU was desperate to avoid a continuing prime time embarrassment. Players were already jettisoning so much recently that they are holding it together with tape. Other than Wisconsin at the beginning of their season, I’m hard pressed to think of a quality team cancelling.
Would love to see the stare down from Dabo to Norvell, him saying “Really”?

Did they do a second test on the player. Better than 50% chance it would have come back negative this morning. Saban had a series of best 3 out of 4 tests.

If you’ve ever watched FSU’s games their student section does not practice social distancing and no one wears a mask, so it’s got to be that they didn’t want to play us.

I would not play FSU because assuming Clemson wins next couple of games why take the risk of injjury prior to ACC Championship game. Also, FSU refusing to play appears to be more about them getting healthier to have a slim as heck chance for bet Clemson!!!
